Sam Amico: Celtics guard Jordan Crawford is available, according to multiple league sources, and Miami is one team that would like to nab him in a deal. But don't rule out Sacramento, Toronto and New York, said one NBA executive.

One way to help with the tanking and keep Bradley's value down in the summer would be to ship out Crawford and move AB back to the point (until Rondo eventually returns). How painful would that be?

How do you think that would keep Bradley's value down?

Yes, let's screw with our players just because we can. That way, they'll certainly love to stay here and play for us. And their game will not suffer at all.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Crawford for Mclemore?

They'd ask for at least the Clippers pick but you'd have to say yes.
Perhaps you could send Lee and Crawford for Mclemore+ Outlaw.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I'd like Jason Thompson in return.

I think he's really underrated. I'm not saying he's star potential, but he can be a very solid PF/C combo who would average 12 points, 8 rebounds and solid defensively, on both positions because he has the length and athleticism.

I know we have a logjam of PF's, but I'd really want Jason Thompson playing for us and being utilized by Brad Stevens correctly.

Just watching some Mclemore highlights.  He looks like an exciting young player.  I doubt a package based on Crawford plus picks would be enough.

Probably the Kings don't move him unless Rondo is involved in the trade somehow.

As for Thompson, the Celtics are just overflowing with PF/C type who are not quite centers right now.  I'd prefer getting a true 5 like Asik.

AB is horrible at PG. I am a big AB fan, but his passes into the post are horrific. He is tentative at the one, but decisive and aggressive at the 2. I think he just is not a good passer, despite being pretty good at everything else.

That being said, I think he will be a better passer after this season because his confidence will continue to grow this season. As he becomes more of a scoring anchor for the team, he won't second guess himself as much while passing. Even if he throws the ball away on horrible passes like Ray Allen often did, it will be fine if he at least starts passing with conviction instead of looking like a deer in the headlights.

Just the fact that Jordan Crawford actually HAS Trade Value now, should put Stevens in Coach of the Year running---I was quite willing to CUT Crawford during Pre-Season.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.
