It looks like Utah is having trouble keeping Favors and Kanter on the floor at the same time as not one of them can stretch on the offensive end. I wonder if a trade like this would interest them.

It gives the Celtics a very interesting 7 Footer and sheds Wallace. Thoughts?

Giving up Kanter _and_ taking on Wallace's contract for pretty much nothing is in the realm of science fiction.

Jazz say no immediately, they don't want any part of Wallace's deal.

What do you think the Celtics would have to do to make it more interesting for them?

There is a min salary requirement that Utah has to meet. Wallace can be an asset in that sense. A guy to shelve while they're playing young kids on rookie scale deals.

The Jazz pretty much cleared out their frontcourt for Favors and Kanter -- and given that Kanter is a 21-year old 7-footer with good skills, I doubt he can be had for peanuts.

It has failed. Kanter has been demoted to the bench in favor of Marvin Williams...

Tyrone Corbin + tank = Marvin Williams starting at PF.

I don't buy it. They were losing just fine with Kanter logging big minutes.

I just looked: Kanter is averaging 28 mpg a game, Williams 26. Favors is at 32.

how many teams are going to trade for wallace to sit on the bench?  he was playing good minutes for the celtics early in the year(and still is) but was mouthing off on guys padding stats etc
(good thing his teammates aren't talking to the press about team members who can't shoot)  :-X

Kanter and Williams are both having trouble comprehending the overall concept of NBA Basketball; I say no.

Utah wouldn't take Wallace.  a little on the fence about KO for Kanter.  Kanter's got the size we want but he's just underwhelmed me when I've seen him play.  KO isn't setting the world on fire as a rookie but he shows some promise.  definitely a higher BBIQ than Kanter.

I'd rather trade for Asik and keep KO.  KO has a great basketball IQ and will become a good all-around player for us in the future because he can pass and shoot as a big man.  Asik is the rimprotector type that we need at the 5 and he won't cost as much as Kanter to acquire.
