I just watched the depressing final seconds of the Lakers/Brooklyn game.  Pierce had a good look at a 3 pointer to send it into overtime... rattled out.  He finishes the game on 4-17 shooting.  Terrible start to the season for them.

Great day for us:  We lost.  Atlanta lost.  Brooklyn lost.

Ping pong balls, baby.  I really want to see Atlanta fall out of the playoff race.

rondo + sully+ green + bradley+ top 5 pick this year + all star FA in offseason = contenders!!!!!!!!!!!

Also a top 15 pick via the Nets.
We need Atlanta to start losing more games... we get the least favorable pick of Atlanta and Brooklyn.

ATL is a . 500 team they have no depth after Millsap,Horford and Teague I think they reach the playoffs as a 8 seed because the east is so bad.

Strong finish for the celtics, which is a good sign.  But they were inconsistent throughout the game, especially on defense.

Stevens needs to have them play better on defense at least.

Not a terrible effort, so I am not disappointed.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

There's always one quarter that kills us and tonight it was quarter number one. but it is nice to see how some of our guys are coming along.  it's a shame to see sully give everything in a game and yet some guys just don't wake up.
there are two players on this team that are very frustrating. one is Avery Bradley for his lazy passing and getting his pocket picked and the other is Jordan Crawford because he sometimes becomes a loose cannon at the most critical point in the game. tonight, the last play before halftime with ten seconds left and plenty of time to get the ball down court and set up a play, but no, you could see he was not looking anywhere else to set up a play, he dribbled the clock down and then was forced into settling for some halfazz three point air ball that wasn't even close. when he's on, his threes are astounding, but when he's off he has got to learn when to give the ball to someone with a better shot.
another guy, that could be much better, is Vitor, too many times at the rim the guy tries to finesse the ball in, instead of aggressivly jamming it home.
We really have a decent team if some of these guys would just play up to thier potential and when they don't you wind up with another frustrating loss like tonight!!!

I do not follow college hoops nor do I fully understand the NBA draft so could someone please break down the different ways that the Nets and Hawks help us by losing and what is our best case scenerio. Thanks DD

Thanks for the link Chief. I guess the key is that we get the "less favorable" pick and what do they mean by the league would decide which is the less favorable pick???

Think about it like standing in a line.

Atlanta gets the first choice, and we get the second choice (ala we're behind them in line for the Net's 2014 pick).

So Atlanta can swap draft picks with the Nets this year, and they're obviously going to take the higher pick. Whichever pick they don't choose is the one we get.
