The Wolves are reportedly close to trading Derrick Williams, according to Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN in Minneapolis.

The Knicks, Nets, Kings and Jazz are believed to be interested. Williams' option was picked up this year, so he is under contract through next season. He's buried on the depth chart and matters will only get worse once Chase Budinger comes back, and there have been trade rumors on Williams for a while now. A trade to the Kings or Jazz would be interesting with their lack of depth on the wing, but he's only worth a stash in very deep leagues.

Such a bummer for Minny that he flamed out for them - could end up costing them Kevin Love down the line.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

i think hes just saying that if Williams panned out then Love would have had a legit running mate.  Since he doesnt and Love is the only true star on the team, theres more of a chance Love will end up leaving Minny since they cant compete.

KG involved???
A winner is someone who recognizes his God-given talents, works his tail off to develop them into skills, and uses these skills to accomplish his goals.

I don't get how the Knicks might be involved, unless they are sending out a big contract (Bargs?) for Williams and Shved. Shumpert isn't enough to match Williams' salary.

If it's the Nets, it could be as unsexy as a combo platter of Teletovic plus Shengelia and/or Tyshawn Taylor.

Reggie Evans could be involved, but I think he's a guy that Brooklyn desperately needs to keep.

Yep.  Having a #2 pick end up a dud really hurts.

Williams for Shump?
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

for

D. Williams

Ah. I don't think he's a great fit for the Knicks anyway, it was just the first thing that came to mind.

That would be quite a steal for Sacto.

Might be either Hayes or Thompson paired with Fredette, if Patterson doesn't work for Minny.
