And that's Derrick Williams. That former number two overall pick that has just been dubbed one of the worst picks in franchise history by the Minnesota media.

Minnesota is in win now mode and it's hard to argue Bass wouldn't make them a better team today and for the next couple years, Bass has been playing great and he would be nice to have backing up Love.

For the Celtics Williams may continue to look like a knucklehead bust. In his defense he is a natural four and has been playing with one of the best PF's in the game. He's twenty two and maybe he flourishes under a new team and Coach Brad. He's the same height as Sully but he's an athlete and could be a nice alternative to Sully's skill set.

Plus it would help us tank.

I'm weary of those 3/4 tweeners without much production. It's much harder to combo those positions than it is a combo guard (which is why I worry about Aaron Grodon in the NBA) and Williams has really struggled with playing the 3. I wouldn't do it because we have too many forwards as it is. I'd rather send Bass to a team for an expiring or a serviceable role player and a draft pick, with the former being more likely.

He must have had some fairly stiff competition, starting with Flynn.

Stating the obvious:
Bass' health, heart and locker room presense >> DWill
Amateurs worry about equipment, professionals worry about money, masters worry about light… I just take pictures…

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
You see epic Athlete, I see above average. I'd rather keep Bass and let his contract expire next season. I doubt Williams becomes much more then Bass is now.

I think this is a horrible idea.   Changes of venue rarely work for these guys who are epic busts because their problems are in their head.
