While the Knicks keep praying for Danny to send them rondo... He actually is interested in amare for Gerald Wallace and Courtney lee.. To be honest I wish this would happen.. Not only am I fan of stat(can't wait for those responses) it also gets out of the guaranteed contracts of lee and Wallace  through 2016  and being a bonus for us guaranteeing a top 3 pick for us!! Thoughts?

I'd say MarShon is all in on that one.

This is logic. The deal ends a year earlier than Wallace and Lee. Clears the deck for the C's to add a max free agent in 2015 to pair with Rondo. But I do see a possible deal getting done between the two teams. Just not for Rondo

*** using Lee as a place holder for bogans contract

This trade seems plausible and works $$ wise. it would have to happen after dec 15 to include bogans.

Cs get Amare and G Smith (or Montiejunies)

Rockets get Humphries and Shumpert

Knicks get Wallace, Asik, Brooks

Rockets add depth on the wing in shumpert and a capable starting PF in Bass.

Cs unload a year of wallace and gain a young player

Knicks kill there cap further while trying to win now

*** it would also work if the Cs sent Humphires in place of Bass and Bogans. In which case trade could happen immediately.

the title is very misleading..

they are not interested in amare, they are interested in dumping long term contracts

Yup...this is the goal.......so he can free up space in another year or two .  Wallace contract is soooo bad.  Think DA is dying to unload him.

I do not have a high opinion of Chris Broussard

I would be thrilled to trade Wallace and Lee for something useful, and I don't see any downside to putting $20 million on my books for a year in order to do so.

I was a huge fan before the knee injury. Nothing to be ashamed of.

I heard it was Stat for Wallace, Lee, and Bass which should work financially. I'd do that in a heartbeat, but I don't see NYK doing it. I think Lee would be the hold up. They're trying to move a SG, why would the take an additional SG?

Off topic: I still can't believe they amnestied Chauncey instead of Amare. That front office is so incompetent.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

Stoudemire still looked healthy enough at that point to play at a high level, and they wanted to play him next to Chandler, so it made sense to not amnesty him.

The real incompetent move was that they picked up Billups' $14 million option a few months before amnestying him.  That's basically just burning money.

On topic - it makes sense that we might want Amar'e, he'd be an easy way to shed long-term salary without improving the roster, and the Knicks are one of the few teams willing to pay Wallace's deal.  Too bad they have almost no assets worth adding as sweeteners.

How about wallace and bass and clips pick for amare?

Knicks get a 1st rd pick (they don't own any until 2018)

They also get 2 players who can be pretty effective guard lebron for stretches

C's get to shed salary a year sooner , making them players for a big free agent in 2015

Rondo, a top 5 pick this year, sully, bradley, ko , green , plus adding a max free agent(most likely a defensive anchor at center) is pretty great. Plus we have loads of picks coming from brooklyn  :o
