Who can tell me more about Alex Poythress. I hear may be a little lazy but Coach Cal said he's made major strides. What a body on this kid, Wow.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
From what ive seen of course (this means articles that ive read and youtube clips i saw), it has to be Julius Randle.

Heck, I like him more than Wiggins and Parker.

Im just amazed at the combination of power and skill. He's explosive and also crafty. You cant say that to a lot of big men. He can dribble his way to the basket and leap strong for the finish. He has an outside game.

I want him to play for the Celtics. I'd give up everybody whos not named Rondo to get him. Nbadraft.net is comparing him to Chris Webber, if he gets anything close to CWEBB, we have a keeper.

Randle
Exum
Joel Embiid

This is my list as well. Although I'd still be thrilled with Aaron Gordon, if our pick fell to around 6 or 7, sheerly on potential.

Dont really think Smart is good enough to give up on Rondo for and he doesn't shoot well enough or have enough of a complimentary mindset for them to play together.

Personally I'm hoping that there is a prospect out there that nobody sees coming that will have a meteoric rise of the draft boards as the year goes on.

He's an absolutely atrocious ballhandler. He makes Avery look like Rondo. Maybe he's improved but ballhandlers as bad as him at his age rarely do so.  It's hard to see him as more than a role player given this limitation. He can't create his own shot off the dribble from the perimeter. He might be a good defensive SF roleplayer/small ball PF, particularly since he's a good rebounder.

I doubt he's going to be a first round pick.

James Young from Kentucky is highly rated and seems to be getting a lot of positive reviews if that's relevant at this stage. I'm not sure he's a great athlete but he's super long, tall and possesses all-around skills.

One player I really like is Jabari Bird, a Cal SG who was also a McDonald's All-American.  He has prototypical size and length, is silky smooth, a very good athlete and can shoot. He's not mentioned as one of the one and dones so maybe he's  two years away but he could surprise.

I wish I could fast forward to the draft just to see how all these prospects shake out after their freshman years.  Going to be interesting to watch that.  We do have to remind ourselves how highly guys like Shabazz Muhammed and Avery Bradley were thought of going into their Freshman years.

I think this draft class seems to be the best in a long time overall and everything, but some guys that are further down could be over say Wiggins.  It'll be interesting.  Maybe I'll watch some college for the first time in years!

Big Willey!

Willey-Cauley Stein. Super raw and super huge. Not sure if he will put it together this year but pretty intriguing.

Andre Drummond?.
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

Randle, Exum (hopefully he comes out) or Embiid would all be very, very good and I'd be happy to draft any one of them.

The top of this class doesn't really have a LeBron (not THAT sold on Wiggins), but the Wade's, Anthony's and Bosh's are there, IMO. As long as we avoid the Millicic, we'll be doing well.

I'm pretty sure Randle is the consensus 2nd pick from what I've heard buT the draft is a long time from now. Anyway i want Randle and to trade anything and everything we have to get another top 10 pick.
My early top picks:
1 Wiggins
2 Randle
3 Exum
4 Parker
5 Embiid
6 smart
7 Andrew Harrison
8 Hezonja
9 Selden
10 Harell

Btw don't think Aaron Gordon is going to be good... handle seems sloppy, he can't shoot, and is too small to be a pf

Since I can't pick Parker, Dante Exum.

If we can get one of those two, I'd be ridiculously happy. I

This season will be very telling for Gordon, if he shows some SF skill then I think he goes top 10 and teams use him in a Wallace/Marion 3/4 type role. But he needs to show some perimeter ability,

 Joel Emblid

Celtic Bloggers give me your honest opinion on this prospect. He's top 5 in a lot of projections. I'm skeptical but He just started playing basketball a year or two ago. So they claim anyway. The video is less than two minutes.

KG- I'm with you. I hate this scouting report. His profile is basically that he is the Rolls Royce of Fab Melo-like-prospects. So athletic! So coordinated! Such great body control for someone with that size! He doesn't play basketball, but we can teach him! Oh how we shall teach him!!

As of right now, I'm with you. Big fan of Jabari Parker's game, even if he is playing for Duke*.

*Which is yucky, but at least he didn't head to Kentucky with the rest of the SuperFriends.
