I don't like the man, but Dwight Howard has definitely looked spectacular tonight

also, I LOVE listening to hubie announce games.  so good

Yeah, Dwight is playing like an MVP right now.

Hubie's voice makes me want to jump into traffic. Great well of knowledge, but I can't do it.

Bill Walton, on the other hand...

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
So who is this Ellis guy playing for Dallas and what did he do to the inefficient, non defending and jump shot chucking Monta Ellis?

That's always been a bit of an overexageration.

The last five points have been Ellis->Marion.

Monta Ellis is on fire right now.

AND ITS AWESOME.
Look who he's had to guard him. :P

Regardless, Ellis seems a more composed player on Dallas than I thought he was on Golden State and Milwaukee.

Fair point.

He's got good teammates for the second time in his career (depending on how you feel about 06-07 Baron Davis & Stephen Jackson).

As much fun as the Ellis/Curry backcourt was to watch, they were way too much of a liability on defense to stay as starters.
Yeah, that's true. I don't think Ellis can play with another scoring guard, especially when the one in question was as inefficient as Jennings. Calderon seems to be a good fit with him.

Howard's been great, but Dirk's just been just as good.

Harden continues to claim the "least clutch NBA superstar" crown.

I agree that Dirk's been playing just as well, but he's just at his level. Howard's impressive on account of his improvement.

I think the idea that he's not the only scoring threat has lighten up his load.

Defenses have to commit to Dirk, hard. So he has a bit of a free room. But mainly, I think the coaching did him and his career a ton of favors. He's not chucking jump shots as much, driving the lane more and is finding teammates better than before because of his driving and finishing ability, which he now does a lot.

I love this Monta Ellis.

Back in the day Monta more or less only drove to the hoop. That was when he got the Most Improved Player award.

Then he had that moped accident, came back early, and started to settle for jumpers instead of beating his man off the dribble.

Is it safe to say that Andre Iguodala is really a PG?

He's setting teammates up like he is.

Very likely. This team is just better constructed, and probably better coached, than any he's been on previously. The jury's still out on whether he can keep this up, but it's certainly nice to see.

Am I misunderstanding something? Did Deron Williams just get injured in the game he returned from injury?

Looks like KG and Pierce brought the injury bug with them.

Williams did not return to the game in the second half. He injured the same ankle he hurt Friday night in Phoenix.

Pls don't jinx the injury bug into the Celtics  :-X

Controversial call from the Knicks-Pacers game

As for me it's not a fould, refs shouldn't be calling this kind of millimeter fouls when the game is on the line.. well I don't pity the Knicks they deserve the lose, they could have intentionally foul Pacers for a 2FT than this kind of incidents from happening

Any touch on the shooting elbow dramatically affects a shot, moreso than basically anywhere else on the body.  No problem with that call.

^^I don't see it as affecting the shot more on selling the foul ;D

Hyperbolic title. Interesting read.

They save the smartest quote about the whole idea for the end, though. If you can only stomach one bit, make sure it's the Marc Stein ender.
