Really poor communication on defense, frustrating to watch.
No way Courtney Leee can guard Thad Young. Why isn't Green picking him up?

Celts just missing open shots right now.

Hawes always kills us.

Do Humphries + Sully ever play together?

G: A.Bradley
G: C.Lee
F: J.Green
F: Olynyk
C: Faverani

Is Courtney Lee the 2nd best creator offensively on the floor right now? Yikes.
No. Olynyk is better. Lovin the potential of a Olynyk/Faverani front court.

Not sure Olynyk is better. I think he can be someday but not sure he will be right away. Hasn't looked great so far. Missing a lot of shots. Off the pace quite often. He is passing the ball very well though.
I think 'someday' is too passemistic.  He is just missing open shots in his range. I am convinced he will settle down.   His defense and rebounding may not improve a lot, but it will improve some with experience

MCW has looked good. Beating his man off the dribble, getting into paint. Good vision.

Is there a way you can transmit that telepathically to Jeff Green?

Dave Cowens is completely wrong.  I want AB to be 100% aggressive at all times on defense.  Make the refs adjust to the way he plays, not the other way around.  Create his own brand of defense.

I hope so but I do think he is the type of player (long distance jump-shooting big) who can struggle when they first come to the NBA. Especially if he is only playing 15mpg (due to dodgy defense/rebounding). Can be difficult to get comfortable (stay in rhythm) in that type of a role. Prone to streaky play.

I'm really hoping to see a glimmer of that scoring ability from KO. He is clearly intimidated- he's passing up a lot of shots, some good and some not so good. It's faint praise to say that he's the only guy holding back right now while everyone else is taking terrible shots, but the irony is that he he's one of the only guys I'd like to see forcing a shot or two.

I'm sad that he's blowing all of his open threes while Hawes is raining them down. KO can shoot. He's either got jitters or foot problems.

Green, Lee, and AB are great from the corners.

Can anyone on this team hit the 3 from the wing or from the top of the key, though? So many back-rims... ugh.

Seems like it's difficult for anyone to get into a decent rhythm with all of the constant substitutions and different lineup compositions.  But that's partly what the preseason is for I suppose.

It's going to be a long, painful season until at least February or early March, when Coach Stevens has figured it out, team has developed some chemistry and Rondo is back healthy.

Celtics are going lo lose a lot in the early season, I think they won't be bottom 3 at the end of the season because they'll win some games to finish the season, but they're going to look like a bottom 3 team until the All Star weekend.

I want to see the camp invitees and future Red Claws get some run in the 3rd and 4th quarters.

This is the first pre-season game I've been able to see.  I thought I had made my peace with all of the summer upheaval.

But my god, I watched two quarters and it's hitting me for real: we are in the rebuild.
