Injuries

Player to Watch

Phil Pressey logged a DNP in the Celtics first game vs the Raptors but Coach Stevens said that he will see extended playing time in this game.  He was the last player on the court after practice on Tuesday preparing for it.

Honorable MentionKris Humphries.  Kris wasn't happy with his rebounding after Monday's game and so it will be interesting to see if he goes a bit harder to the boards.

Knicks Roster

Cole Aldridge
Carmelo Anthony
Andrea Bargnani
Tyson Chandler
Ike Diogu
Chris Douglas-Roberts
Raymond Felton
Tim Hardaway Jr
CJ Leslie
Kenyon Martin
Toure Murry
Josh Powell
Pablo Prigioni
Iman Shumpert
JR Smith
Chris Smith
Amare Stoudemire
Jeremy Tyler
Beno Udrih
Metta World Peace

Injuries
Carmelo Anthony (shoulder) questionable
Iman Shumpert (shoulder) questionable
JR Smith (Knee)  questionable
Amare Stoudemire (knees)  out

Player to Watch

Tyson Chandlerwill be key for the Knicks because of the Celtics lack of size inside.  Will the Celtics counter Chandler's size with more Fav, or will they throw Humpries or Sully inside to see how they fare against him?

Honorable Mention:  Metta World Peace After being amnestied by the Lakers, the player formerly known as Ron Artest will get another chance with the Knicks.  I'm almost looking forward to seeing what happens to a team with both Artest and JR Smith on it.

Keys for the Celtics
Once again, Brad Stevens will be experimenting with lineups and watching for combinations that work the best.  Players will need to work together to try to build chemistry as they become more familiar with each other.

After Monday's game, the coach mentioned that they would need to work on defense and positioning.  The Celtics need to defend better and they need to work on being in the right spot for the rotations.  That will come in time as they learn the system and each other better.

Play hard and execute.  Have fun.  Get better.

A'Mare's actually going to play?

I'll believe it when I see it.

BOLD PREDICTIONS:
Brandon Bass scores more points than Jeff Green.
Tim Hardaway Jr. shoots under .500 from the field and 100% from the line (after a pair of and-one baskets).
Courtney Lee ends up with more steals than 3pts made.
Andrea Bargiani grabs double-digit rebounds... because this is the preseason.

Also, thoughts to Crawford. Death in the family is always a hard thing to deal with.
Michael Jordan: It's a man's game, and you can't play.
Bill Murray: It's 'cause I'm white, isn't it?
Michael Jordan: No. Larry's white, so what?
Bill Murray: Larry's not white. Larry's clear.

not sure the point of this thread.

Olynyk v. Bargnani round 1?I`m guessing with Pressey at the point we look very coherent unit  offense but get eaten alive on defense. Green wakes up, Oly top scores, and we get beaten in overtime anyway.

Perhaps our most talented lineup with the best ball movement.

Suspect Wallace would end up taking the most shots, and that's not what I would want.

I think (hope?) Rondo could make that lineup look really, really good after the all star break, though.

I'm hoping Humphries gets more boards.

I thought he was hustling and playing well, and when I saw how few rebounds he had in the 2nd half I was pretty surprised.
