Where is Fab Melo now?

I'm wondering if anyone has any information on Melo since he was cut by Dallas. I've never been a Melo fan- in fact I've pretty much been a card-carrying member of the Melo hater club- but he is still a young, athletic giant with some shot blocking instincts.

Best case scenario is that he's riled up over getting cut and he comes back with something to prove. Worst case scenario, he fades into oblivion. In principle, I don't see any reason they shouldn't bring him back to Maine.

If I know Fab Melo (which I actually kind of do because I was at Cuse) then he is at the bar and throwing snowballs at people.

Did you know that for the national tournament games he got booed out of the campus bar (his regular Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday hangout.. ugh) for being academically ineligible to play?

Basketball is a game of smarts, which he doesn't have. I think he's had his shot and didn't take full advantage of it.

I imagine (or at least hoping) that Fab Melo is looking for a to Europe and join a team that will commit to him and develop him along gradually. If he puts the work in, he could make it back to the NBA in a few years time.

I don't think there is any point in staying in the NBA right now. Too far away. Won't get minutes. Needs game time to develop.
