Obviously, I'm biased. But Rose and Dwight vs. Nash and Big Al feels like a big edge in OKC's favor.

Eric Gordon, Josh Smith, and Luol Deng will need to make up the difference.

Derrick Rose eats Steve Nash and that's the difference.

Yeah. That'll be a thing.

Given how I rate Smoove and EG vs. Love and Iggy, I've got a clear favorite here.

I'll admit that Dwight and rose are better than Nash and Jefferson
But Gordon/Deng/Smith is vastly superior compared to Shumpert/(gulp)Budinger/Gibson
I also have the better bench
They have star power, I have the more overall talent

Big Al has outscored Howard in their careers, and has held D12 to less than 16 ppg.

Howard's point totals in their last 5 matchups: 14, 14, 19, 11, 17.  Oh, and Big Al is 4-1 in those games.

So, take away the D12 "advantage", and this one swings in Dallas' favor.  The Dallas wings + Smith are just so much better.

Will voters give our 14 year old Aussie rookie GM a chance in this matchup?  I doubt it, but that's who I think would win.

Give the kid a chance!  ;D
in all seriousness I think that, as D12 is negated our SF and PF are vastly superior
I'm thinking Dallas wins, and that is me trying to not be biased
EDIT: and my SG is stronger too

Very similar to the last round.

(1) OKC with major advantages at PG and C (D-Rose, D-Howard) and disadvantages at SG, SF and PF (E.Gordon, L.Deng, J.Smith).

(2) I think OKC's bench actually matches up better this time than against San Antonio (I'd give B.Gordon the nod over G.Neal but B.Knight over E.Maynor, otherwise fairly neutral) whereas I thought SAS had the advantage last round.

(3) And OKC no longer have a coaching disadvantage (M.Brown vs K.McHale - R.Carlisle for SAS).

This is going to be a tough one. I think OKC has an edge with Rose and Howard over Nash and Big Al (even if Roy's stats say otherwise).

However the Dallas supporting cast over Deng, Smith, and Gordon is going to be very tough for OKC to handle, and I think that might give Dallas the edge.

Eric Gordon, Josh Smith, and Luol Deng will need to make up the difference.

I think the collective difference between Deng, Smith, and Gordon versus Shumpert, Gibson, Budinger is bigger than the Rose vs. Nash advantage.

Shumpert, Gibson, and Budinger are such limited offensive players that Dallas should be able to cheat a little to help on Rose.  Smith and Deng are going to go a long way in terms of cutting off penetration, and Gordon isn't a bad defender, either.

In fact, I wonder if Dallas puts Gordon on Rose, since Shumpert is such a non-factor on offense?

I prefer Dallas' bench, as well.

Derrick Rose can't do it alone.  The more I think about this one, the more I see it as a Dallas victory in 5 games.

This is going to be a tough one. I think OKC has an edge with Rose and Howard over Nash and Big Al (even if Roy's stats say otherwise).

And aren't those stats important to consider?

I focused on the last five games so that folks couldn't say I cherry-picked, or was relying on games from many years ago that don't matter.  However, for their careers, Big Al has held D12 to 15.9 points, so it isn't a fluke.

Big Al vs. Howard is neutral.
