I'd hire all Tonya Harding type people (or her b/f) LOL.

Seriously though, I'd settle for a healthy Celtics team last season or the new Nets team (if they stay healthy).

I don't think Mia is that difficult to beat, they have been escaping by having the best teams in the East be down their best players or having multiple hobbled people. I'm not saying they aren't good but they have been very lucky.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Hah, you beat me to it!

Seriously, though, isn't LeBron about due for an injury? I guess other GMs could hope and pray that it happens sooner rather than later.
Celtics fan for life.

  • Everybody knows what's best for you
I'd make it so my entire roster is expiring, then I'd sign only my star player, another team's star player, and Lebron James and then start winning championships.

The fact is, the only things Miami actually did well were: 1) clear a whole bunch of cap space and, 2) play in the city of Miami. Everything else worked itself out.

Lebron's PEDs are injury proof.

None.  I would put the best team I could on the floor and not worry about what anyone else was doing.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

None.

I got sick to death watching Doc trying to "match up" with Miami.  Great teams don't try to match up with other teams.

Great teams play to their own strength and force other teams to try to match up with them.

If you set up your team / gameplan with the focus of trying to match up to another team, then you have already lost the battle.

man I suck at doing GM work. I had a difficult time constructing a team in Association mode in 2k13 :(

I know I am keeping Rondo and Green. I will want Bradley to come off the bench purely as a defensive specialist. Try to pursue Paul George. With Green and Paul George, that is our own version (young and athletic) of Wade and Lebron. See if I can get any good value from Sullinger/Bass and the rest of the team not named. Hopefully net us someone like Marc Gasol at least. Maybe try to see if we can somehow take Andre Drummond off the Pistons hand (not likely) with a few players and few first round picks. Sign Pierce and KG back for the veteran minimum and bring them off the bench

Rondo/Paul George/Jeff Green/Marc Gasol/Drummond
Bradley/Pierce/Sullinger/KG/Fill

that team may or may not beat Miami the first year, but I love our chances the next year.

Coaching wise - I would LOVE to have a full court press with Bradley harassing Wade or Chalmers, try to create some turnovers and easy buckets. Play a 2-3 zone and try to clog down the paint. I believe Bosh cannot guard Gasol nor Drummond, but I do believe either one of them are capable of limiting Bosh's productions. KG can do that himself actually.
