Although this is the time to be competitive, I would just like to say this was probably the best CB draft I've been apart of. In previous years, GMs would do anything to get the upper hand, but this year I saw a lot of teams help each other out, which makes for more evenly matched teams. It's a shame that there's only 16 playoff spots, cause there are so many good teams this year.

Quoted for truth.

Seconded, I did not see a lot of lopsided deals this year.

And the West this year, I mean talk about competition. Ive been participating for three years, and this is by far the tigthtest playoff race a conference can have.

I've had an absolute blast so far. Well done all around.
I've had an awesome time!
Special thanks to nick for organising it so well!

If I offend anybody I apologise in advance
My equal favourite sports team just got eliminated from the finals  >:(

To put it in context, imagine if Boston got no.1 seed then was swept by no.8 seed
Better team, awful coach  >:(
I'm so frustrated

I also want to thank everybody for an incredible experience. This league was beyond fun and I appreciated all the discussions that were had. I'll be checking out now, as I'll be gone this coming week and will only have my phone for internet access, but my co-GM is ready to take over. Whether my Lakers win it all, don't even make the playoffs, or finish somewhere in between, I'm super proud of the team we assembled and I can't really ask for anything more. Good luck to everybody and I apologize in advance for short, oddly formatted, and/or typo-filled messages in the coming week.

P.S. Stop blowing Calderon's defense out of proportions  >:(

He's only as bad as Lawson and Teague, to name a few  ;)

And thanks! I've been needing a break for a while now so I'm looking forward.

Lawson is bad, but not for lack of effort. He's just short.

Teague and Jose, well, we al know what to do when we face their squads. ;D

Have a good vacation.

Have to say, very sad to see my co-gm leave. Without making him blush too bad, he did a phenomenal job and I couldn't of chosen a better partner. I was a little undecided about having a co-gm but we were in agreement on nearly every pick.

A little concerned myself on how much I'll be able to carry this team. With a full time job and an internship starting Tuesday, free time is going to be extremely limited.

If anybody has been following along without a team, the LA Lakers may be hiring a PR rep ;) (I'm only half joking)

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Gary Payton just said the only current player than can play like he did right now is Rajon Rondo. Except for the scoring mentality.

Voted, though if your team is lower than you think don't feel bad I'm pretty sure i messed it up due to time crunch this morning. Still I feel good about who I put in the playoffs just not the order necessarily.

Yeah, high praise but not really very accurate.

When I watch Rondo the last player I think of, in comparison, is Gary Payton.  Payton could light it up, and was a very solid shooter.  Also, while he did cheat passing lanes at times, he was a phenomenal lock-down one-on-one defender (maybe the best ever).  I'm not sure Rondo has that in him.

I really don't think there is any previous PG that Rondo can be compared to.  He just has such a unique set of strengths and weaknesses, unlike anyone I've ever seen.  The closest is probably Jason Kidd, but Kidd was bigger and  had a post game Rondo could never have.

Rondo's always had a good post game, both in terms of scoring and passing.
