  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Then I.P. put up his pick (2.13) on the block and I sent him an offer, but it wasn't a great offer (I think he only accepted because he really wanted to move down) as I thought atleast one of these guys would be available. It turns out that all of these guys ended up getting picked before 2.23 and I got extremely lucky.  :)
The move worked out for both sides then as the two players team mod were debating were both available at 2.23.

Yeah, to be honest I wasn't in love with the value the Mod Squad got for moving back, but it worked out well for all involved.

I wasn't either. My first response was, "Make it more" to rondaldo, but we though Gasol would still be there, and there was no reason to not pickujp a spare 4th in the process.

Yeah I think if you had much more time you would've gotten a better offer (that probably has to do with you being I.P though), but since I saw you really didn't have that much time and I wasn't really looking to move down I didn't see the point in increasing my offer.

It kind of sucks knowing that last year I did 7 trades (that is because I joined in the 6th round) and this year I've only done 2. SMH.  >:(

I'd be willing to trade back from my 4.1 spot or my 5.10 spot to pick up more 4th or 5th rounders...

Anyone that has multiple picks in rounds 4/5/6, send offers...

I have 5.6 and 5.23 Mchale's Pits...

Just finished rearranging my 6-man draft board for pick 3.6 for the 1,399th time and I think I'm finally OK with it. I wish I had the guts to swap #6 for #7 on my board but cest la vie... that's "whatever" in french.

Not sure how our picks could line up in a trade. 4.1 is too much to give up for those two in my mind.

David West and 3.9 available together. Will listen to all offers
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Remember guys, auto select is off from now on and if you miss your pick, the next person can now pick once your time has expired and pass you by. if you miss your pick, you can select at any time.

It's an interesting take, and it's good to get a fresh perspective.

My thought process has always been, at least for the later rounds, trade value for a "n"th rounder is n+1 and n+2.  In essence, then, a 4th rounder is worth, in general, a similarly situated 5th and 6th.  So, fair value for 4.1 is 5.1 + 6.1.

If GC was offering both his 5ths for your early 4th, I'd be inclined to at least mull it over.  I might pass, because you need high end players, but my guess is that you'd be pretty happy with who was there in the 5th, as well.

IIRC, in the last few drafts the reaches most often occurred in the 3rd round and the real value pickups tended to be in the 4th and 5th rounds.

Although, that doesn't mean it happens every year.

My thoughts exactly...with only one pick in the 3rd/4th round I am going to miss out on a lot of good players. 4.1 is valuable because it is directly in the middle of the two rounds and I will have the night to review the remaining players to pick the right one or trade down to acquire multiple contributors from the later 4th, 5th, or 6th rounds.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Lakers are back looking for a 3rd rounder. PM me or BleedGreen1989. Thanks!

I wasn't really... just tacked it onto my self depricating post since MP had just posted it...
