Today is decision time to keep Shav or release his 1.1 million dollar contract. Or they can trade Crawford or Melo..what do u think will happen??

I think Shav'll get released. Melo and Crawford probably aren't going to find teams that want them before they step it up a little bit, and we now have a glut of big men that need time to develop.

I'm hoping he stays personally.

Dump him. More than enough options at PF already.

Look at it this way:

If they keep Shav, that means a trade is definitely happening that gets rid of a SG, at the very least. If he is gone, then maybe what we have is the team we are going forward with going into the season.

I think he's probably better than Melo but at this point, the C's might be committed to Melo for at least one more year and so Shav may have to go.

Shav will be 30 years old by the start of the season. What's the big deal with this guy? I don't get it. He's a scrub.

Career numbers:

Games 111
Min   8:48
Rbs   2.7
Pts   2.7

Did I mention that he'll be 30 YEARS OLD this fall?

Cut Shav and be done with it.

I'm surprised that he hung around as much as he did this offseason. He's redundant to the team right now.

I would expect him to be released. Nothing against him an his game cause he could be a fine third stringer, but we already have too many players and being Ble to save that 1.1 mil will actually be pretty helpful for us I think.

Ten hours to go.  It seems as if such guarantees are made or contracts are cut near the close of the last possible business day, so maybe three to four hours is more like it.

I really don't see room for him on the roster at this point, honestly.  If they could dump Humphries or Bass then fine.

Right now we're carrying Sully, KO, Hump, Bass, Faverani, and Melo.  We don't need any more bigs than that.
