Looking like Bale will be sold for £94million which would be £14 more than Real Madrid paid for Ronaldo.

Quality player of course but there will be a ton of pressure on him. Real would want him to work out a lot better than Luka Modric.

Yup, Also looking Like Spurs are going to be closing on additions of Erik Lamela and Willian

It looks like Tottenham just tied up Willian for £30 million. That is a major major signing for Spurs. Puts them well ahead of Arsenal and Liverpool for that 4th place Champions League spot. I thought they badly needed someone with more creativity to pull the strings in that midfield trio. Perfect signing. Takes Spurs to another level.

Ya, I was watching some video of Willian yesterday.  The way he saw runs being made where he wasnt looking was really impressive, seemed to know where to put the ball and how to get it there.

Also the im really intrigued by Lamela, looks young and not too strong but very skilled.

Koentrao hasn`t come to an agreement with the Spurs (nothing official yet though). If he won`t travel to London Real will play 109m for Bale.

IMHO this is a great deal for the Spurs and if the spend wisely (and not like Liverpool for example) they can turn into serious contenders

Willian will definately go to London but not for the Spurs... Chelsea has made a move for him and look like frontrunners

That would be great news. I'd love to see him at Chelsea. Picked us apart in the Champions League last year.

Oh wow, Chelsea stole Willian from under the noses of Tottenham. Mourinho saying the player wants to come to Chelsea and not Tottenham. Looks like it is only a matter of time now until he signs for the Blues.

Some reports from Madrid saying that Tottenham are unwilling to finalize Gareth Bale transfer (which was meant to happen today) until they have signed replacement players which presumably was Willian + Lamela. So the Bale transfer is now on hold. I wonder if Tottenham will be willing to do the deal if they can only sign Lamela and not Willian. Or, with Willian gone, who will Tottenham pursue next to replace Bale? Interesting times.

The way i see it Tottenham can only delay the transfer. Even if they don`t sign anyone else.

Spurs are after Hulk. Zenith bought him for 55m (porto`s president is the salesman in the world!!!) so guess around there is the asking price. A little overpriced imo but i think he is perfect for EPL

Big match today and so soon into the new season.

I hope Chelsea doesn't get Rooney, I think its better to keep Mata and the rumors are, he'd be part of the deal.

Mata for Rooney suits both teams imo. MU`s lack of quality in the middle is more than obvious. RVP didn`t get a single half decent ball today.

Yes I'd rather keep Mata than get Rooney as well. Samuel Eto'o could be interesting, if Chelsea get him hopefully they'll move on Demba Ba.

0-0 draw was pretty dull but happy to come away with a point.

Interesting.  Seeing reports of Spurs being in talks with Christian Eriksen from Ajax now.

Apparently the Spurs are also making a push to get chicharito from Man U.  makes me wonder how much Bale is actually going to be sold for haha

I can`t believe that MU will sell Chicharito But they do need a scorer upfront

the truth is the spurs are making good use of bale`s money.
