Would you have traded Rondo for Nerlans Noel?

Curious to see people's thoughts on this one

Would you hve done the Noel for Holliday trade if you were the celts and it was for rondo.

Trade: Rondo to NOP Noel and 2014 protected 1st to Boston.

Personally I would do this. I don't think you could get more for rondo. And I can deal with tearing all the way to the ground and building it back.

I would how ever have tried to get NOP to include Vazquez with a another peice from us going back there.

Would have been left with the choice of drafting KO at our pick or to
Develop a pg with that pick. Ex. Schroeder or Larkin. But a core of young bigs including KO Sully and Noel works for me also would give us three picks in next years draft. One of them
Being high since we won't win many games without rondo.

Yes anyone would do that. Better player worse team (higher pick in 14) and another pick in 16. ORL would have chuckled and said no thnx to that offer. Point of my post was that it could happen because it did for a player of similar value.

my thoughts too, unless it's that deal, I will not deal Rondo for first rounders that will be in the 20s or late teens

Depends on what sort of protection the 2014 pick is. Noel is hugely overrated, IMO.

Either he's not taken care of himself after injury or he has Bynum Knees.

Even if its different knees, I'd be scared of them either way.

Interesting seems as though that's the popular opinion. IMO it's the 2014 pick top 5 protected (after I looked it up) is what makes the deal. Also I am higher than most on Noel. While he absoultey is a canidate to be a bust his potential Is monumental as a non top 5 pick. Also loss of Rondo = less wins next year and high 2014 pick

No way. He has bust written all over him with that skinny body. I will say I thought the same thing about Durant though too. The difference though was Durant could flat out score. I just don't see this kid doing anything but getting hurt over and over.
