+/- value in Summer league?

Colt had the worst +/- in the 1st game and the best in the 2nd. -10 to a +29 which is a 39pt swing. ??? I want this kid to be a paint enforcer. I'm in Japan so I can't see much. Was he noticeably improved from the 1st to 2nd game?
