Sweet. 3 volatile prima donnas in the same lineup. They should make for some greaa theater in the 4th quarter of games with their 57%FT shooting!

Not sure what there is to complain about if you have DH and Smith on your team. I would be thrilled!
I'd be thrilled too... until someone has to make a free throw to win a game. There, that's what there is to complain about.

Well, doing the math, Howard could techinically be acquired through a S&T with the Lakers, but only if included in the deal with Brooklyn.  But yes, this is a pipe-dream.

This trade would work under the CBA (provided the tax  apron goes up a few million for 2013/14).

Boston
Howard-$20,153,178
Humphries-$12,000,000
Wallace-$10,105,855

Lakers
Bass-$6,450,000
Crawford-$2,162,419
Sullinger-$1.365,720
Teletovic-$3,229,050
Brooks-$1,210,080
Draft right's to Olynk
2014 1st-Bos
2014 1st-BKN
2016 1st-BKN
2018 1st-BKN

Brooklyn
Pierce-$15,333,334
Garnett-$12,433,735
Terry-$5,225,000

A subsequent deal could then be made with Atlanta in which Smith was acquired through a S&T for Humphries, Bradley & the better of our 2015 1st or the Clippers 2015 1st.

Then how do we fill that bench?

Personally, I dont see LAL doing that either. They want Howard or players of that caliber. No way do they settle for all that. Kobe wouldnt be happy.

This is nonsense.  This is not how you properly tank.  Andrew Wiggins is rolling over in his grave.

So you're telling us you'd rather take a chance on landing Wiggins, which is extremely unlikely, over having Howard and Smith to pair with Rondo?

To answer your question on why I don't trust your judgement (from another thread), I submit this as exhibit "A".
I was kidding.

I was more poking fun at the idea that we'd try to contend this year instead of tanking.  The "Rondo recruiting Howard/Smith" thing is a total fabricated twitter rumor.   The idea that we are tanking for Wiggins has some basis in reality.
