That rumored Celtics-Nets trade is so bad for Boston that Doc Rivers just quit on the Celtics again.

putting  tomike shenglia into google gets us this thread at the top and a bunch of the tweets that sent it.

lol this guy must suck

My google search showed me that he's a fairly good looking prospect, strong, athletic, can drive to the basket and finish at the rim, seems to like mixing it up, and making defensive plays.

There were rumors that the Nets were looking to move MarShon Brooks to the Timberwolves for the 26th pick.

I wonder if the 22nd and 26th picks in this year's draft are two of the picks.

As noted earlier, the Hawks have the right to swap picks with the Nets in 2014 and 2015.

So one low 1st for Pierce, one low 1st for KG, and one low 1st for taking back Wallace's contract?  Doesn't seem like enough to me.  Awful.
Ultimately, you are not going to get high picks for those guys, since the teams with the high picks do not need players like that. Which is, of course, unfortunate -- but also a fact of life.

Why do some fans overrate the worth of Kg and Paul pierce at this stage of their careers. They are old now. 36 and 37 respectively. If you can get three first round picks for them added with brooks who is a good prospect, you take that and run before the nets Change their minds.

Taking on Wallace's terrible contract is worse than having 3 low picks, which by the way Hawks can swap out 2 of them... Marshon Brooks is a good prospect, but we don't need Wallace, and is a waste of space/money.

If Danny does this I'll be severely disappointed in him, and at that point will most likely watch every game with a grimace.

Scary,

Humphries and Wallace work money wise.
If Danny takes Wallace's awful contract then he should be fired.

I wouldn't mind Teletovic or some other salaries some might think of as 'bad', but no way no how do I want Crash walking through that door.

Too bad OKC has a limited budget, they've got a lottery pick this year.  Bulls have a nice pick from Charlotte that could roll over for awhile too.  But neither one seems like a likely fit.

Only way it works is with one of their big salaries (Wallace/Lopez/Johnson/Williams) in the deal.

In a two team trade at least.

I like Wallace (or, liked him), but dude is utterly cooked now and his deal expires in 2016.

One of the worst contracts in the league right now (though it's kinda a testament to the CBA that there are few worse).

No-one's overrating them. Taking Wallace's contract defeats the purpose of the transaction.
This:

We'd be giving up the best two players and getting the worst contract (and longest) back.

3 picks that are going to be low is s tough sell for that.

Pass on this. Those picks are not worth the garbage the Celtics get in return. They need to get some type of trade exception or something like that.

Crash was nice a few years ago. He doesn't have the gas anymore does he?

Used to be a premiere defender on the wing . . .might help give LeBron and Melo problems but I doubt it. I don't think he's got that supreme athleticism anymore.

a lot of these picks are going to be used in trades

Which still wouldn't fix the fact that we have Gerald Wallace for the next 3 years.
