So I've been messing around with my Celtics, managed to pull off some great trades. Got Ian Mahmi, and I had another random dude, traded him with my 2nd round trade pick for Anthony Randolph, and someone else on the Nuggets.

Flipped him and that other guy for Faried. I was pretty surprised.

I packaged him, Terry, Klay Thompson, '14 1st round draft pick from Magic, (managed to pull off a really easy trade to get Klay) for a three way trade for Anthony Davis, and Marshon Brooks.

Now the chemistry issues I have with Davis and KG are pretty bad.

KG and Davis are always minus where everyone else is plus or even.

I give them both plenty of minutes.

I managed to also get Josh Smith for Green/Bass, and Sullinger. Who the Hawks are pretty stupid, proceeded to trade me Sully back for Lou Amundson, with a counter offer of 2 draft picks.

So I have a lot of minutes that need to be distributed.

My lineup is this, Rondo PG, SG Kyle Korver/Marshon Brooks, SF Paul Pierce/Kyle Korver PF Davis/Smith/Anderson C KG/Davis/Anderson.

I occasionally put Smith in as my SF.

I don't know why I have chemistry issues. I'm 21-6 on my association mode on superstar. I have yet to play dream team/hall of famer, but my players get tired so I always switch them out. What can I do to fix the chemistry? Davis says he wants more minutes, and KG says the minutes that were supposed to go along with his role aren't fulfilled.

Also don't play the full 12 minutes per quarter if that would be an issue.

I shut chemistry off. If you make any "major" trades it throws your chemistry all out of whack.
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

I like roles so I leave those on. A player can get unhappy if he's not playing enough but it make it more realistic.

But I thought chemistry helped your team perform better? I definitely see a difference when chemistry is good, and bad when the chemistry is off.

What about their roles ?

I'm thinking of moving Smith, and keeping Davis as my PF/KG as my C. I can't move KG since he has a NTC, but I could manually move him if I wanted by using the option to trade regardless of their opinion.

I need a stronger SG, but I could just upgrade my bench?

Who's a good sixth man, and who'd be a good complimentary bench/role players?

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Starters gotta play 30 minutes, sixth men have to get at least 18, role players are like 10-12, bench warmers nothing, prospects doesn't matter (DO NOT CHANGE A PROSPECTS ROLE UNLESS THEY'RE WHINING ABOUT THEIR ROLE).

I see, thank you for your help. Does me playing 6 minutes per quarter matter in 2K13?

No, the 30/1810 numbers I gave you are for the 'rotation' screen. They ration the minutes depending on how many minutes you play.

But if you use my proportions and just allow the computer to sub players according to your rotation, it should take care of a lot of your grief.

I traded Paul Pierce, Avery Bradley and Courtney Lee for Manu Ginobilli, Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green. Traded Wilcox, White, and Crawford and future picks for Larry Sanders and John Henson. Traded Jason Terry for Fredette. And just filled the rest of the roster with bench warmers.
I felt like Red Auerbach.

Rondo/Fredette
Manu/Danny Green
Kawhi/Green
Green/Henson
Garnett/Sanders

Won 2 championships ( I simulate the regular season, I only play the playoffs), im in 2016 now, I got Paul Pierce back, for Chase Budinger, my 8th pick in the draft in 2014 (forgot his name), and a future 1st pick in the 2017 draft.
Also traded Danny Green because he was asking too much to be re-signed. Also got a few of our old friends back in Tony Allen and Greg Steimsma off the Free Agents. KG retired.

Now 2016 season I've got

Rondo/Fredette/(rookie point guard)
Kawhi/Ginobilli/Tony Allen
Pierce/Dajuan Summers
Jeff Green/Andrew Nicholson/John Henson
Larry Sanders/Greg Steimsma/Gustavo Ayon

  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
I try to keep the Celtics core together when I play as them.  My minutes distribution usually goes like this:

Rondo 36
Bradley 25
Pierce 30
Sullinger 25
Garnett 30

My bench consists of hustle guys, and my sixth man in Iguodala.

Terry 15
Iguodala 35
Draymond Green 14
Thomas Robinson 15
Ezeli 15

Then I find two vets who fill out the bench.

I play 12-minute quarters, have team chemistry on, turn player roles off, and play on superstar difficulty.
