the dreaded pierce trade idea carousel goes round and round.
heres a few variations on a three team trade
bos trades pierce to denver and bass, bradley to utah.
receives mcgee, jefferson

denver trades mcgee to bos, chandler to utah
receives pierce, pick

utah trades jefferson
receives chandler bass and bradley

this also seems to work with atl: where the hawks receive chandler, bass and bradley for j smith.


scenario one: we end up with
rondo, williams
lee, terry
green, FA
KG, sully
jefferson, mcgee

scenario two
rondo, williams
lee, terry
green, FA
smith, sully
kg, mcgee

lots of holes but we get quality pieces in return for pierce
denver gets a piece to improve their chances of contending
utah/atl get good return for an expiring contract.

Where does the pick come from going to Denver? I don't see Denver giving up McGee and Chandler for Pierce.

Yea but Gallo is likely out most of (or all of) next season with a torn meniscus and a torn ACL. It would be foolish to rush him back and Pierce provides the perfect stop-gap and allows them to remain in contention without any long term commitment.

I'm sure Gallo will return for the Playoffs at least? Iggy+Gallo+Pierce is the best SF lineup in the league by far lol
