Danny Ainge has had the reigns of the Boston Celtics for long enough.

He brought us one championship - Thanks Danny, but he also prevented us from getting more in my opinion.

Once the window for the big three started to close there should have been another plan put into place. A plan for the future.

I think that doc should have retired, and Thibs should have been our next coach.

Danny should have stepped down also and passed the baton to Ryan.

How great it would have been to have the Celtics run by two local guys? Guys who know their sheet?

Wyc and Pags need to realize that danny and doc's act is getting stale.

They had their run and now it is time for new blood and a new direction.

The Celtics could have had their very own Theo.

Please owners - show some guts and forethought.

What would Red have done???

Interesting opinion.  In my opinion I would rather keep the best executive and coach in the league in Ainge and Doc.

Keep the GM that has already shown the ability to put together a title winning team.

I am glad we have Danny, too.  He brought us a title and has drafted overall well.   No one can get everything right and hindsight is 20/20 but many franchises have not had the run we have had since he got here.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I love how much crap people give Danny, its just absurd.

He won us a championship for goodness sake and has drafted very very well for us over his tenure.

I mean serious we could have GM like those of Sacramento, Toronto, Charlotte, or N.O.

Only 8 different teams over the past 30 years have been able to win a championship. We could be one of the other 22 teams with GMs that cant put us in this position to be successful. At least Danny was able to put our name back into the mix in 2008.

What would Red have done???

By your logic, the Celtics owners should have fired Red in 78 or 93 because his "act was getting stale."
