If KG is playing his playoff standard 37 minutes a night and Pierce is playing his playoff standard 39 minutes a night... Boston will probably win this series in 5.

Not a fan of Doc going big against New York.

Not looking forward to Bass pretending to defend the three point line (Chris Copeland). Bass is a mistake waiting to happen that far from the paint defensively.

Wow, I totally forgot the Celtics had a playoff game today until I saw this thread.  It's been a wee bit distracting this week and the Celts have sort of driven me to apathy in recent weeks.T Time to get the game faces on though.

GO CELTS

Yup

on paper our bench looks like the left overs from the buck a bag sale at the garment district.
looks like the sale rack at mardens
looks like wholesale lot at a 2nd rate used car dealer
looks like a summer league practice squad

oy...
even with out injuries (rondo, sully, barbosa) we're desperately short handed in the paint.

way to put the pieces around your core danny

agree,  they have to play serious minutes

Have to have Pierces offense on the court

Need KG's Defense to STAY on the court.

usually against the better teams,  scoring goes to pot and the defense flops when KG sits..

NO LEAD is enough when KG is on the bench.

He NEEDS to stay out there ...till he drops......or else we are history.

The key disadvantage is the Celtics not having a guy who averaged 17.3 points, 11.9 assists, 6.7 rebounds and 2.4 steals in the playoffs last year. That would be, of course, Rondo.

Wow, Rondo's playoff stats last year

Really reminds me just how big a difference maker we're missing today.

Knicks win a shootout.  C's must defined the three and fill the lane.

That is, defend the three point line and fill the lane.
