Which one? Both are slightly scary, but neither is clearly better than us.

the Heat. Let's just get to the main point, we have to beat them sooner or later

Knicks. They won't always be that hot. Pacers big men will probably wear us down over a 7 game series, especially without Rondo penetrating and making things tough on Hibbert.

The Pacers.

The Celtics are a help defense team, and the Pacers aren't a great jump shooting squad. The Knicks are streaky and are already confident against the Celtics. I really think that the Pacers are a better matchup.

I'd take the streaky Knicks. I don't see them hitting all their threes for four-out-of-seven games, especially after their forgettable January, February, and early March.

They both cause problems for this team. But, I say the Knicks might be slightly easier.

Right now, I wouldn't want to see us play the Maine Red Claws.

Either will kick our butts. Season is over. Out 1st rd. Those wanting the Heat are still waiting for the Tooth Fairy. Celtic fans wanted this. One Championship and now a decade of reality lies ahead. Mediocrity. All wagons are moving South and West.

I would rather see the Pacers than the Knicks, Melo scares me more than Paul George. And I'd rather deal with the Pacers bigs where Hibbert will most likely disappear in the playoff then deal with the Knicks 3pt shooting.

Knicks. Easy choice. They live and die by the three and have had some cohesion/synergy problems, which could potentially crop up again during before the playoffs as they try to reintegrate A'mare and Chandler again.

Its not that I think the Pacers are much more of a threat to the Celtics, but their size and depth of big men is a bit daunting given how thin our front court is. I still think the Celtics would be competitive in a series with them, but I just worry about what it would take out of us in terms of energy. Even if we won we would most likely be coming out the other side with KG on his last legs from having to deal with Hibbert for a lengthy series and at least one or two other guys banged up.

For those people who want the Heat: I think we are better off getting a first round match up that actually has a decent chance of us getting to the second round. I get that it makes a bit of sense that we would want to face the Heat when we are at full strength before the playoffs get into full swing, but given the slim chances we already have at beating them in 7 we are better off meeting them as late in the process as possible and hoping that either someone else has managed to pull off a miracle, one of their big three goes down with an injury or that we manage to escape in 5 games against a team like the Knicks who could struggle even at home if their shots aren't dropping and the Heat go 7 tough ones and come into the series against us a little gassed at the start.

Either team will send us home in 5 games, so it doesn't much matter.

But I'd pick the Pacers just because the Celtics seem to play them better for some reason.
