Knicks. Easy choice. They live and die by the three and have had some cohesion/synergy problems, which could potentially crop up again during before the playoffs as they try to reintegrate A'mare and Chandler again.
Its not that I think the Pacers are much more of a threat to the Celtics, but their size and depth of big men is a bit daunting given how thin our front court is. I still think the Celtics would be competitive in a series with them, but I just worry about what it would take out of us in terms of energy. Even if we won we would most likely be coming out the other side with KG on his last legs from having to deal with Hibbert for a lengthy series and at least one or two other guys banged up.
For those people who want the Heat: I think we are better off getting a first round match up that actually has a decent chance of us getting to the second round. I get that it makes a bit of sense that we would want to face the Heat when we are at full strength before the playoffs get into full swing, but given the slim chances we already have at beating them in 7 we are better off meeting them as late in the process as possible and hoping that either someone else has managed to pull off a miracle, one of their big three goes down with an injury or that we manage to escape in 5 games against a team like the Knicks who could struggle even at home if their shots aren't dropping and the Heat go 7 tough ones and come into the series against us a little gassed at the start.
