I'm a 6'3" banger that enjoys the dirty work; defending the post, boxing out, rebounding, setting screens and picks. My ace up the sleeve is free throw shooting. I've also played at least once a week since 1987, and yes still keeping up with the young bloods on fullcourt runs.

I am a forward....now a player / coach....used to be a monster rebounder/shot blocker....a little older now....got a good hook shot.....you have to adapt when the jump goes.....! I still can't stand to see a rebound hit the floor..and always hated anyone who tried to score on me....LOL..basketball is an addiction...!

Like a couple of others here, I'm more of a combo forward. I am 6'4" - usually do well in the post, but love the hook shot / tough lay-up off the dribble. I used to say I was Antoine with better discretion on 3s, but I guess Antawn [Jamison] is more the type that fits me.

Funny how now I see from the positions...people I agree with mostly.i used to lift weights so much and play that i really couldn't lay up a rebound after ripping it down...i was the reset king....but most would say "don't go to his side"...oh how i loved that...I have a nose for where the ball goes..when i was a kid, growing up as a whitey in the spfld projects, no one would pass to me....so, i bacame a ball GETTER...LOL...I don't quit.

I know what you mean, when I was lifting at 112kgs the bball felt small and light like handling a tennis ball! It's taken a while but I've consciously dropped my weight down to 95kgs so I can focus on running and mobility around the court, good times.

When I played back in the early years of high school I was the sixth man two guard and occasionally ran point. I had pretty good handles and was a pretty good passer, but eventually it got to the point where the people I was guarding had multiple inches on me and it was time to stop lol.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Growing up in the Philippines I LIKED playing the 3.

But i'm 5'11" and one of the tallest kids in the neighborhood so they forced me to play Center. I'm the Bargnani in my neighborhood, with way better defense and worse shooting.

I played PF and C.   I could even guard 6'11" guys beacuse I am one of those tank like 6'7" guys with 6'11" reach and I am six seven in bare feet so about 6'8 " or 6'8 and one half in shoes.   I could shoot the three very well (.52%) and spread the floor but my dribbling skills are not good but my jumper had to be respected.  However, this all comes with one caveat my ankles were bad ( pes cavus)and I broke my ankles all the time.  I could jump well too  maybe a 34" no step vertical.

In my small town, I am the guy who would have made the big time if I wasn't hurt all the time.  (not exactly true, I could hold my own on D and boards at D one but found it harder to get off my shot but in small towns you get better every year removed from play.)   I routinely owned a guy who got a full ride from Stanford and another who played for Air Force.  My high school they didn't have the three point,  granted this was all in the late 80's. My coach would not let me shoot outside of 10-15 feet.  I got a few small college deals even being hurt.

But I think I played my best ball on the playground.

I hear the Boston Celtics are looking for a big man! Seems to be a lot of 'em here, why don't you all sign for free! ;D How cool would it be to play in the big leagues...
