They must have liked what they saw to continue to keep him around.  If he was a total dud, they would have jettisoned him and tried someone else.

The new 10 day contracts are going to determine whether they stick.

Didn't Varnado only sign a 1 10 day contract? I don't recall.

He was signed to an unguaranteed contract before players were eligible to be signed to ten-day contracts and waived before his contract became guaranteed.
