They extended there consecutive point streak tonight and won outright in regulation on a game winning goal with 49 seconds left. They are now at 24 consecutive games without a loss in regulation. This has got to be one of the best streaks in professional sports history and a great story for the NHL after another season that has lost many fans due to a lockout.

The longest winning streak in hockey is 17 games set by the Pittsburg Penguins in 1992-1993.
