The playoffs are coming and the seed talk got me thinking of what people think will happen towards the end of the season.

For us, we win tonight and we are 4 1/2 games out of second place with a favorable schedule and Chicago, Brooklyn, and the Knicks all playing semi poor to .500 basketball as of late.

In the West, Denver has won 6 straight, the Grizzlies are 9 - 1 in their last 10. In the East Philly is dropping way out going 1 - 9 in their last ten.

So what you got? Suprises? Bold predictions? For me:

1. Heat - (No ones catching them)
2. Pacers
3. Knicks
4. Celtics
5. Bulls
6. Hawks
7. Nets
8. Bucks

Celtics make a late run, Nets fall off a bit.

In the West:

1. Spurs
2. Thunder
3. Clippers
4. Denver (rides their hot streak to home court)
5. Grizzlies
6. Houston
7. Lakers
8. Utah

Bold West prediction: Golden States finished the year poorly and drops out of the West race. Lakers finish strong and make the 7th seed getting trounced by OKC in the first round.

I sincerely hope the C's do not end up as a 4/5 seed.  Playing Chicago, and if we're able to get by them, then Miami, is not a desirable path.

I'd much rather just accept not having HC in any round and get either the 6/7 seed.  The best scenario would be to win the division, and hopefully get the 3 seed.

At the end of the day, however, you can't play for seeds in the hope of avoiding certain matchups. It;s too diificult to predict where other teams will finish. Just play your best, and let the chips fall where they may.

If we can't get third, tank for sixth

I am extremely opposed to "tanking" for a specific seed.  No guarantee you get what you want.  Losing on purpose is not a mindset I ever want to see (unless its for a top lottery pick).
