I think it would be very interesting, and I remember over the summer, some random Brooklyn fan was hired. He was walking down the road and happened to see the Brooklyn Nets' CEO, so he asked for a picture or something. He got hired on the spot. (most people can't recognize a team CEO by their face, or they wouldn't even know their CEO's name)
If I were ever offered, I might take it just for fun, it would be an interesting job. I'm pretty knowledgeable about hte NBA as well, imo, and I could probably name more current NBA players off the top of my head, than most of you (hehehe).
The NBA is something that is very appealing to me, maybe because I'm interested in math. Stats are big in basketball, and I can typically memorize box scores of big games, and individual stats for a handful of players. I'll always know the leading rebounders in the league (or top 5), as well as assisters, blockers, etc. just because I just happen to read so much.
The NBA is probably my biggest hobby by far, and it would be really interesting to work with them as a consultant, but as fans we're totally biased and never know the full image. I think a lot of fans are much more knowledgeable about the NBA than so-called "analysts". The only problem is, a lot of fans on this blog are very biased and can't see the big picture.
But then again, I'm a pretty staunch supporter of Jeff Green.
I would take a job. Yes. [sorry for bragging so much]
