I love Sheed. But.... Sheed is fat. He should not have come back.

I guess someone doesn't like the Knicks playoff chances.

I was walking along the road with two friends the sun was setting suddenly the sky turned blood red I paused, feeling exhausted, and leaned on the fence there was blood and tongues of fire above the blue-black fjord and the city my friends walked on and I stood there trembling with anxiety and I sensed an infinite scream passing through nature.

Fat, broken footed sheed would still be 2nd best rebounder on this team.
He has one foot so cut his rebounding percentage in half its prob still up there with Bass, Cox and Green

Sheed will be back early in the playoffs.
Only done for regular season, not for the postseason.

This may be bad for the Celtics in that it makes it more likely that Henry Sims, one of the consensus top bigs available in the D-League, will end up a Knick. He was one of NY's last pre-season cuts and has been playing with their D-League affiliate. If it is decided he will in fact miss the playoffs, of course. Sims may even hold off on signing with another team to wait and see.

When he was with us, Rasheed rebounded at a rate worse than the one of Brandon Bass.

Shocked that such a well conditioned athlete like Rasheed Wallace would break down.

Actually, Rasheed's total rebounding rate that season was 11.2%. This season, Bass is down to 11.0%. Last season, Bass was up at 11.5%, though. Interestingly, Sheed was actually much better at the defensive glass (19% that season, versus 14.5% for Bass this season, and 16.3% last season). Bass gets 7.2% of offensive rebounds, Sheed only got 3%!

Seems like hes been rejuvenated in Ny tho. But in all seriousness its sad that we even have to compare a 38 year old sheed to 28 year old bass

I would think the appropriate comment would be "Sheed's been done for years. what's special about this year?"

Knicks have 15 players on the roster so they'd have to drop someone. They could buyout Sheed but then he wouldn't be available for the playoffs.
I don't think the Knicks make a move.
