I became a C's fan probably around 1983 (I was eight years-old), and I guess my first memory is watching the C's on CBS with Dick Stockton and Tommy Heinsohn. I of course became a huge Bird fan almost immediately and the rest is history as they say.

First game of basketball I ever saw on tv, first game of basketball other than a HS game at all. It was a Sunday afternoon sometime in early January 1958. I think the Celtics beat the Knicks, and I was a fan for life. Oh, and I was 6. My dad was rooting for the Knicks, so I had to root for the Celtics.

My first Celtics game was Michael Jordan's last game at the garden. I was only a kid at the time, but that's when I really fell in love with basketball, and the Celtics!

2002 Playoffs I fondly remember the Game 5 massacre against Philly and the 4th quarter comeback against the Nets... I have also been a Paul Pierce fan ever since!

I have no idea what game it was as I was young but it was early in Pierces career. He hit an important three and I remember my dad going crazy, lol.

The 1980-81 season. My favorite player on that championship team was Nate "Tiny" Archibald.

Though I definitely watched some games before this, no one can ever question me being a fan because my first game was this disaster. It was love at first sight. http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=170420002The ACTUAL attendance that day wasn't even close to that. There might have been 8,000 people and even that is generous. Also, check out the referees for that game. Maybe the Raptors were supposed to win big?

This one might date me a bit http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/197310120BOS.htmlBuffalo vs Celtics, first game of season in 1973. I remember as a kid being blown away by watching a few players named Cowens, Havilicek and Silas and watching them beat some noob named McAdoo Funny note on this is that I won a $100 bet years later in a bar with friend who swore and was positive their was never a team in Buffalo. That was an easy bet to win for me that night.
