Now, I'm not jumping the gun here, after seeing his best game as a Celtic, against the No-Fun Suns. I'm just posing a hypothesis. Lets just say this game sparked a fire under him, and he just goes nuts for the rest of the season, averaging 20+ ppg in extended minutes, etc.

Do you think he can make the stride to win the award, this late in the season? What do you think it would take?

Also, who do you think deserves it? I haven't given it much consideration, myself, this year.

Edit; grammar.

Edit; Harden.

My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.

Don't see why not, considering his health issues, and the low opinion of him pundits have.

It'll be hard to de-throne Harden for that award, but sure, the narrative should be in Green's favor if he continues playing this way... and more importantly, if the Celtics keep improving as a team, while the Rockets have been struggling.

Yeah I think this ones going to end up being Harden no question... But I could see Green in the running if he continues to play like this

I think he has a better shot of putting himself in the running for sixth man of the year.

He's the same player?

Is there a comeback player of the year like the NFL?

Can we wait on calling the bronze company to order raw materials for his HOF bust?  The guy had a couple of good games - something he's done numerous times over his career.

The question about Jeff Green is and always has been whether he would consistently use his size and talents to play aggressive basketball, or would he just blend in as a complementary player.  Unfortunately, it's been the latter for most of his career.

Maybe this brush with career and actual death has given Green a new perspective, and now that his conditioning is coming around, Green will have more games like the one in Phoenix. I hope so, because the Celtics are in dire need of a third star player.
