While we are not collecting bigs, we are collecting top tier athletes:

Green
Lee
Bradley
T Will
J Craw

these dudes has the ability to pester on D, create turnovers, run and get buckets to help PP and KG down the line. If we can fill in the last couple slots w/ size, hopefully it comes together.

call me impressed. At times the finishes were "breathtaking, spectacular". There is some Jordan/Dominique , the way he can fly to the basket, twist his body, extend his arms and finish.

Shooting jumpers was also good. Glad to see he knows he is playing for the celts and not the wizards and not chucking shots left and right. He was very resourceful with his shots in addition over half the time was making some nice passes.

He put in the effort on the defensive end, though at times he didn't run back right away from the offensive end.  Also on defense there is too much hand checking instead of just staying in front of his man.

Overall , we got our barbosa fix and gave up nothing to get him.  He is ahead of T will

Definitely talented. We may have gotten a steal.

Yup, I was impressed, too. There's a lot of talent there, let's hope he can get it all straight in his head. I can easily see him having a Jamal Crawford role off the bench for us for quite a number of years.

For those of you questioning his defense, Barbosa wasn't one for defense before he got here either.  Playing on really bad teams can do that to you.  Barbosa definitely shaped up and I was pretty impressed with his effort on defense.

Crawford has a lot more work to do on D than Barbosa.

Several times last night he helped off his man one pass away on the perimeter. He was extremely lucky the suns couldn't hit a shot.

With the amount of steal-mongering and over help going on I thought I was watching rondo 10 games into the regular season.

I get what you mean, but Crawford is going to come off the bench, unlike Rondo who has to play important mins in a game.

There is no comparison.

it has never been about a lack of talent with twill. it has always been him being a knuckle head, bad shot decisions, and a poor attitude.

if he really buys into the celtic team concept, passes instead of trying to make ridiculous/impossible hero shots, and controls urges to be sir chuck-a-lot, then he will be a great, great pick up by ainge.

He reminds me of a cocky, more athletic Flip Murray.  "Herky Jerky" as Tommy would say.   Lotta spin on his shot, tends to rattle em in.  He's kind of goofy with his form and posture , fun to watch  like our boy Fab.  I'm very pleased.  He and Williams may not fill the need we have (bigs/rebounding), but they certainly add a nice punch.

I agree with your description of Crawford's game. He reminds me of an athletic Earl Monroe.  Hmm... that's high praise.  Hope he turns out to be half the player Monroe was.
