I think they bite the bullet another season like Cuban will for Dirk.

I think KoMe isn't bending to fit with DH b/c he knows that being the man is soon over for him. He's going to strut around being the "Man" until his contract is up.

Sad day for KoMe when then contract is up. Good day for me! I want him to feel what it's like being just one of the guys on another man's team, I hope DH shows him his butt too! No more butt kissing will need to be done b/c DH is the man not him!

With all that said, I would bet they would trade DH before letting go of KoMe.

Hypothetical for the Lakers braintrust.  What if Howard tells them this summer that the only way he re-ups with them is if they jettison Kobe?  The Lakers would have no choice than to speed up the inevitable - life without Kobe Bryant.

As an added bonus, the Buss heirs would save a boatload of money in present and future luxtax money - no small consideration after they get done paying estate taxes.  The following year, the Lakers will be able to sign both LeBron and another max to near max FA.

Why do people feel the need to correct others when calling him artest? Kidding I hope because I think most people don't care to address a grown man and a laker by his made up name. He's Ron Artest.

And after scoring 38 points in the Lakers' 103-99 win over Cuban's Mavericks on Sunday, Byrant shot back on Twitter.

"Amnesty THAT," Bryant wrote.

Kobe, a-la Michael Jordan, seems to have taken the comment by Cuban personal. He exploded against the Mavericks, scoring 38 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 assists. Bryant was 13-21 from the field and seemed unstoppable in the fourth quarter. Kobe is now the oldest player in NBA history to score 38+ points while shooting 60+ percent in consecutive games.

Not bad for an old man.
