Rondo and filler for Vasquez, Anderson, and Lopez

Is this a good idea?

Nope.  If you are giving up the best player in the deal you need to at least get something (players/picks) with some upside.  This deal doesn't provide that.

One this trade can't be done because the salaries don't match and it puts the Celtics over the 74mil hard cap.

But it is interesting. Anderson is an extremely good stretch forward who is a lethal 3-point shooter, but he plays no defense and Vazquez is averaging 13.8 pts 9.4 asts and 4.5 rbs per game, a very rondo-like line.

But Rondo is the more proven player here and Vazquez is already 26 years old since he played 4 years at Maryland.
