I got a feeling Morey is going after Josh Smith. Thomas Robinson and garcia + any combination of motiejunas, jones, white, parsons, smith could get it done.

Talk Smith into taking a little less than the max (13mil)and the Rockets are the favorites to land Dwight Howard next season.

EDIT: The more i think about it, if im Morey I stay away from Dwight, Asik does his job just fine. Id rather see them go after iguodola (eto). Lin/harden/iggy/smith/asik is nasty. They would still have enough $ to get good bench players.

Reports that Thomas Robinson is to facilitate another trade. It makes sense, he'd be a good compliment there

Robinson can't be part of a trade package so soon after being dealt can he?

I don't think there's any rule against it...

they may also not finalize the paperwork so that they can make it a multi-team trade if needed.

There's that too.

Or Houston offers Robinson (can't be combined with other players) plus a bunch of picks for Smith?

I was actually thinking they could go for Pau Gasol again.  I'm sure the Lakers would like to have a young PF to slot next to Dwight.

Wouldn't Asik + Garcia + Robinson add up financially for Pau Gasol?  Is that too much to give up for Gasol?  Asik is having a heck of a season... but I still say healthy Pau Gasol (who is only 32) is a top 5 big man.  Him and Harden could do some serious damage together.

I think Houston will stay away from Pau Gasol now that they have a young star in James Harden.

No need to risk the house to build around an older star when you get the young guy. Now it's about building a long term team around Harden. Something for the next 5-7 years rather than 2-3 year window Pau Gasol would give Houston.

Not certain but I think if you are under the cap the player can then be moved as part of a package from your team, over the cap and he has to be traded as an individual  ???

I heard Terence Jones is on the block, we should go after him if we are not doing a total rebuild.
