I've been talking about getting this guy since the start of the season. They need to get him if possible could be a big help.

A. Sherrod Blakely @SherrodbCSN “@bleedCELTSgreen: Bass/Fab about $7.2M combined. Gortat makes slightly more than $7.2M so yeah, the money does work.
He was answering a fans question about if bass/fab worked money wise. He wasn't saying that its going to happen. I saw that tweet.

Don't see phoenix taking an extra year of Bass to just get Melo.
Melo is just such a long term project and most teams don;t have the patience for that. Boston is a patient organization.

I'd take Sherrod more serious if he yelled at everyone.

On CSNNE Sports Central he just said
"Bass and Melo for Gortat rumor has been circulating"
It must be the case that a first round pick is included on such s trade. And a first from Boston is more valuable than s first from OKC.
OKC has Toronto's first to offer, but Bass is 50% cheaper than Perk. Who's better is up for debate, but better doesn't matter since Phoenix is foolish for having forced themselves to trade Gortat.

I mean, get serious. If the Suns trade Gortat for Bass and Melo I'm going to apply for their GM job the following morning.
Sherrod goes from bad to worse.

BSherrod creating all these rumors in his head just so he has something to say on telivision.
If Sullinger was involved in this deal, then it might be a little more believable.

I've never been a huge Rondo fan, and personally, I would definitely. Dragic is a great PG, the dropoff between him and Rondo is not that big specially when you start throwing around first round picks from a franchise as awful as the Suns.

Suns have multiple 1sts... their own (which is untouchable probably)... also Memphis and the Lakers, i think.

I'm not the biggest Rondo fan either, but there is a substantial dropoff from him to Dragic. Dragic may be the better shooter, but clearly inferior in every other aspect of the game. With that said, I would do the Dragic/Gortat/Dudley/first for Rondo/Bass. All three guys would fit in very well with our nucleus. We get a passing/shooting natural PG, a SG with size who can hit three's, and a tough rebounder. Really good trade IMO.

Rondo is better than dragic but gortat is a major upgrade over bass

If you are serious about winning this year then you trade Rondo. If not then why keep Pierce if you can actually get a Josh Smith for him? If you aren't getting anything worth your time for either, likely the case and nothing wrong with it, then just plan for next year and one more run.
