Gregg Popovich reportedly yelled several curse words at Dwight Howard during Sunday's All-Star Game, according to sources.

Popovich drew up a play for Howard during a timeout, but he was in his warmups not paying attention and socializing.

As much as I'd like to rip him, it's an allstar game. Pop needs to calm down some

Dwight's a complete joke. Don't want him anywhere near the Celtics unless he gets a brain transplant.

Pop is a well-respected coach, and even though it's "only" an ASG, I'm sure he didn't appreciate feeling like Dwight was wasting his time.

Just like Dwight's wasting everyone's time these days.

Hahaha I can completely see Pop doing that - he had situational lineups and plays charted out well in advance apparently.  Hope he told him to paint his face and go dance at halftime.

As soon as I remembered DH played for the West (and was is a Faker)... I said, "GOOD POP!" DH plays too much, yes ASG is a time for fun, but do your job at the same time. I bet he does this to MD too, the difference is MD is probably soft and let's him do w/e he wants. This is one of the reasons KoMe doesn't like DH! He doesn't take anything serious enough, just a case of all the talent in the world but not the right mindset. Yes, DH works his butt off to look and play the way he does but he just doesn't have the cutthroat mentality (ASG but you saw every1 buckle down when it was the 4th Q)! No, you don't have to always be serious and you don't have to exude mean, you do need to be able to go to another level and shut everything else out when it's game time... let your opponents know that you are there to win no matter what it takes!

Yeah it's a pointless exhibition. If this is true then Pop looks dumb.

I'm on Pop's side. Even if it's an All-Star game, Dwight should pay attention. Is it a coincidence that the reports only say it was Dwight?

✓ Coach killer. -.-

I have no problem with Pop calling Howard a joke if he earned it, no matter whether it's an All-Star game, a team USA practice, or at the YMCA.

Guy needs a wake up call. Who better to get it from?

Did Pop coach the '98 All-Star game?

I remember Karl Malone got very upset because he tried to set multiple picks for Kobe, but Kobe just waived him off because he wanted to go 1-on-1 with Jordan.

So Malone went to Pop, said something like "take me out" or "don't play me anymore" but Pop took Kobe out instead.

Edit - whoops, guess it was George Karl not Pop who coached that game.

Good for Pop. Howard is useless and I'm so happy we didn't get him.

It's either 110% or 0% from Pop, can't blame the guy.

That was a cool move by him
