I would think that Jamal Crawford, JR Smith, Manu Ginobili, and Kevin Martin are all ahead of him at this point, especially since each of their teams will finish in the top 3 of their respective conference.

Being on a 6-7-8 seed, you probably have to blow away those four guys to get the votes.

I don't really see him as a candidate.

I'd see James Harden as a heavy favorite for this award.  He's always been good - just more minutes and opportunity - which usually leads to the award being given.

He went from a great 3rd banana possible future star to a superstar in the eyes of the media.

Not only is Harden a lock but Green really hasnt improved at all, just playing as well as he played in big minutes on the Thunder.

I think Jarrett Jack and Carl Landry have been stellar in Golden State. They would both be in my top five for Sixth Man of the Year.

I like Kevin Martin and Manu Ginobili over Jamal Crawford. Maybe Redick too. Unfortunately, I suspect Jamal Crawford will be first choice for Sixth Man of the Year because he has the highest scoring numbers and has gained a lot of attention playing in LA and playing alongside CP3 and B.Griffin.

There is no backup small forward who I think deserves consideration.

Taj Gibson has been excellent again for Chicago at power forward but I don't see him getting enough credit because of his low scoring and primarily defensive + possession creation contributions. Carl Landry, mentioned above, is the other PF I think deserves consideration.

I would say it will probably go to Judas, but Green is the comeback player of the year and its not really close. Heart Surgery then coming back to average 10ppg, that's the vote right there

The Sixth Man of the Year Award tends to over-value scoring.  It would be really hard to win unless you are averaging at least 14-15ppg.

Jeff has been pretty consistent with his per-minute averages... Dude should be starting at SF somewhere. 

In an ideal world, you probably trade Pierce for a big man like Al Jefferson or something (Utah wouldn't go for it)... maybe you could do a 3-way trade that landed Pierce on the Clippers, Bledsoe in Utah (they want a PG) and one of Utah's bigs in Boston.   Because then you could start Jeff Green at his natural SF and he'll start giving you 15-18 a night consistently.

November:  42.1%FG and 29.2% from three
December:  41.4%FG and 32.4% from three
January: 48.5%FG and 34.5% from three
February: 53.2%FG and 47.1% from three

Also, if you watch the games, he is a MUCH BETTER defender in January and February. 

I am astonished as to how this is NOT an improvement.

I was thinking the exact thing yesterday. I believe he has 17-18 games with 15+ points. That's great for a bench player.

But bigger names will win out
