After the game Tommy was even talking about how slow PP is this year, and how it's hard for him to get past his man.

I hate to say it, but trade him if you can get Josh Smith. KG and PP will never again have the value they have now,it's now or never...

yeah Jeff Green has been sensational.  It's a shame he has to back up Pierce.  It makes a lot of sense to move Pierce for assets, but nobody would give up assets for Pierce.  So we'll just have to make due with the situation.  He'll come around.  He's got that pinched nerve and all.

Paul Pierce is all washed up . . . again . . .

I've heard it too many times before.  He'll be fine.

I wouldn't be the least bit shocked. He's pacing himself but is still taking too many long balls.

i'm sure the pinched nerve in his neck is still not right. Pierce is off on everything. He's getting good looks.

The speed doesn't really concern me that much. It's not like he's been scoring because of his athleticism in recent years.  Since 07/08, he's had 56 games that match that criteria (for fg% less than 30  http://goo.gl/ooQIt).

10 have come in this season, 10 in 07/08, 11 in 08/09, 9 in 09/10, 8 in 10/11, and 8 in 61 games last year.

That's a rough way to show that these games aren't something new. His shooting numbers are down this year, but I don't think this slump is something to panic about.

His age is a bit of a factor, but having his name brought up in every trade talk doesn't help with his state of mind, wondering whether or not he'll still be a Celtic when he wakes up every morning.

He may say that he understands about the business side of it, but this is a guy who has very few peers when it comes to having played for the same club his entire fourteen year career.

Those kind of roots go deeper than most of us can understand, and to have that up in the air all the time can have a huge effect on the psyche, no matter what anyone says.

He'll be a different guy after the trade deadline, one way or another, and I personally hope it's as a Celtic ... until he retires.

One thing I've learned about Paul Pierce is,
Patience is a Virtue.

I'll just wait til he gets back into his groove.
It's been proven before.
He's old, there's gonna be stretches like this.
