  • GOT IT!!!
The defense just starts to fall apart. C's are going to roll into the playoffs with these "bigs?" KG at his age has to carry too much on his shoulders. They will be fortunate to get out of the first round.

Yes, if there's any one particular reason that this team is not a contender (though there are MANY), it's that KG can't play 40 minutes a night.  If he could, I wouldn't count them out against any one.

You put this team around a 29-30 year old Garnett and they'd be very competitive.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Wouldn't be so painful if Doc stopped overusing Collins or using Bass as a center.

Should be remedied soon.

+1

At least sully would make teams think twice before driving the paint. Without KG , Denver's eyes lit up to drive at will. Lawson killed us

Sarcasm? It was the least shocking of the 3.

Noticed it a lot tonight

I'm sure Ainge did too.

That's why, I think that if Ainge thinks that he can't get a decent backup big to spell KG, and at times play alongside him and clog the paint, he blows it up and moves KG/PP.

Nuggets really exposed us last night.

No player can play all 48 minutes.  The Celtics have no big man depth left.  Once KG sits, they are sitting ducks.  Fab Melo being not ready really hurts.  I think we should have targeted a different big man in the draft.

I was more concerned about the offense, which repeatedly failed to step on Denver's chest and finish them.

Denver's a pretty good defensive team. Both games against them the c's offense has sputtered pretty badly late.

Tommy was too in the post-game last night. He talked a lot about old, tired legs and front-rimming shots.

Those comments seemed to be a departure from his pre-game comments about KG/PP. Almost like he actually was changing his mind about trading them.
