Great news everyone: Andrew Bynum went through a full practice yesterday with the actual real life 76ers. Like a real practice, with a real team.

I know! I'm as excited as you guys are!
I thought this was good news for the Cavs....then I read Doug Collins reaction to Bynum's practice:

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1541553-doug-collins-is-unimpressed-by-andrew-bynums-1st-practice-with-76ers

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8978920/andrew-bynum-philadelphia-76ers-not-close-return-according-coach-doug-collins

Looks like Bynum is still quite a ways off and might not even be guaranteed to be back this year.

actually like my team a lot more than a few days ago. no real star but I have no problem rolling out 9 guys who can all contribute. nice blend of youth and experience.
*CB Miami Heat*
Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

Pick 2 Draft -- Utah Jazz- /70.3
PG: Derrick Rose - ()/ Luke Ridnour ()
SG: Evan Turner - ()   / ()
SF: Gerald Henderson- () / ()
PF: Al Jefferson - ()  / Luis Scola ()
C: Derrick Favors ()/ Derrick Williams ()

In construction.....
Coach to be picked.

Whats your payroll like?

I think Big Al and D.Rose are the only big salaries there. So I would say Utah is still fairly comfortable financially.

I am guessing that is probably around $32 million for Rose and Big Al. Scola is only $2-3 million. E.Turner would be high enough as the #2 pick, probably $4-5 million. Let's say $3 million for G.Henderson. $4 million for Favors. Another $4 million for D.Williams. Luke Ridnour another $4 million.

What does that come out to? About $55 million I reckon.

Edit: D.Rose got the higher max. So he is on $16.4 million rather than $13.5 or whatever it is for the other guys coming off rookie deals.

Any new thoughts on my team with the additions I've made so far?
What/Who do i target now??
I like Sully and Cousins together. Two very physical and highly skilled big men.

Make a good big man duo to run your offense through.

(Edited out for being a pile of BR garbage)

I think you're overly skewing Collin's comments to the negative. Let's not forget that he's currently coaching a vastly under-performing team that a lot of people had high hopes for. He doesn't want to sound optimistic, because if the bad stuff happens, where will he be left?

I'll bet you 500 TP's that Bynum plays this year. I'll bet you 100 TP's that he plays at least 20 games. That's a March 11th return, minimum.

I'm also going to dock you 3 TP's for posting a Bleacher Report link and pretending its actual news. That means the next 3 times I would've been intending to give you a Tommy Point, I'll give it to charity, for the kids. You've been around too long to be posting hot garbage like Bleacher Report up in this house.

I think, if healthy, that's almost a dream combination.

Sullinger's ability to hit a midrange shot and work VERY well off the ball is such a great compliment next to Cousins.

Edgar, you crazy comrade, you're starting your center at the 4, your 4 at the center, your backup 3 at the 5, and your backup 5 at the 4.

Haven't checked all of these, but I know Ridnour is making more than $1.4 mil this season.

Derrick Williams at C (?) notwithstanding, I think this is a nice team once Rose comes back. Ridnour will do a fine job in the interim.

Not sure what to make of it. As a fun experiment, I was hoping you'd make Gallo your PF and grab another SF. Maybe that's why I can't figure out how I feel about the roster. The Curry-Gallo-Gasol troika is terrific. The rest of the squad leaves me lukewarm.

I get the Stevenson pick, but I wonder if there's someone younger/healthier that might do the same job for you. And I agree that Landry is better off the bench, but wonder if Allen is ready to start.

Bledsoe seems like a great trade chip.

Tons of pressure on Monta to be the offensive engine on this team.  Nobody else on the team is really a creator, with Iguodala being inefficient, Deng needing to be set up and Chauncey being old.

Still, if any of our fantasy teams here have a shot at slowing down LeBron or Durant, it'll be this one.  Deng, Iguodala and Rush can all guard wings very well.

A playoff team and a tough out based on the defense alone.  How much further you go depends on how much further Monta takes you, which should be a scary thought.
