  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Warriors  (38.5 million left to spend)

PG  Curry
SG (though likely 6th man before this is done) Bledsoe
SF Gallinari
PF Landry
C  M. Gasol

Like this team offensively, worried about your wings when playing a superstar SF and SG. I'm not sure CUrry, Bledsoe and Gallo can hang tight with Superstar wings. Marc Gasol to the rescue?
2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

Chicago Bulls: After 3
($13 Million left to spend, it's going to be tight)

PG - Andre Iguodala (not a PG but starting as a PG)
SG - Joe Johnson    (scorer, closer, cap eater, just like a Hummer gulps gas)
SF - Luol Deng      (LeBron/KD/Melo annoy-er)
PF - Elton Brand    (old man strength FTW)
C  - Joakim Noah    (defensive anchor, coolest guy on the team)

Complete and total lock down, inside and out.

A lot of weapons but no one to efficiently run them.

Iggy and JJ were effective Point Forwards during their careers, I'm pretty sure they can run things.

Oh, I agree that I need a wing stopper or two.

But there are plenty of them available.

Pretty darn good. I like Monta in that role, even if he hates it dearly.

Dynamite defensive team and rebounding unit but I think you are really going to struggle to score efficiently. Probably be one of the weaker offensive teams in the league.

I still think you would be better off going small with Deng at PF, Iggy at SF and JJ at SG with a proper point guard leading the way. Someone like Jeff Teague was who I was imagining in this role. I think you will gain more offensively than you will concede defensively and rebounding wise. Make you a better team.

Unfortunately, with Teague just getting picked, I am not sure there are many cheap starting quality PGs left on the draft board. Might be tricky.

I think Elton Brand is a very good backup big man at this stage in his career and his ability to play both PF and C gives you good lineup flexibility. Whatever role you decide on for him, I don't think he can be relied on for more than 20-25 minutes a night.

I would trade iggy and a good pg. iggy didn't impress me at all last night against the celtics, lots of air balls
Pick 2 Heat:
Pg: Jennings/Vasquez
Sg: Wade/R. Allen/Rivers
SF: Lebron/M. Williams
PF: Bosh/Humphries
C: B. Lopez/Dalembert/Anthony

3 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 block, 2 steals, 1 turnover in 29 minutes. Sure, he didn't shoot well, but look at that line, im pretty sure contributed enough.

SF Gallinari
PF Landry
C  M. Gasol

The Warriors are in very good shape.

Plenty of talent left at SG to fill that final starting spot with a quality player.

I would keep Carl Landry in a bench role. I think he gets exploited, his weakness defensively and in terms of rebounding, as a starter. I think he is best off as a 25-28mpg backup PF.

So I would look to bring in a starting PF. Either a PF/C who can slide to center when M.Gasol goes to the bench and play alongside C.Landry. Or a 20mpg part time starting PF who is a stronger defender/rebounder than Landry is.

E.Bledsoe and C.Landry would give you two of the best bench in the leagues. A great starting place for a dominant bench unit.

66.2 Points/game for the starters. Sure, it's pretty low but I think there are  help coming their way. Defensively, they can probably hold the opponent to 65, and that's good enough for us.

I have the Rockets tentative starting line-up in place:

Manu/Harden/W. Chandler/Nene/Hawes.

Any thoughts on what I should prioritize from here.  About $25 mil left to spend.

Pretty solid 2-5.  Not sure Ginobili can defend the PG position.  I'd definitely go for a real PG.  You might consider starting Manu at the 2, Harden at the 3 and bringing Chandler off the bench.  Just my two cents.

I dunno, but it appears Tristan Thompson is the one guy that doesn't fit. I would trade him for a vet PF, and another guy.

It's kind of hard to run a team with such diverse ages since by the time T2 is mature enough to be a star, the rest will be too old

Love the team, but wasn't crazy about the Hawes pick.
