Lakers

PG: Deron Williams $17.18 million
SG: J. J. Redick $6.19 million
SF:
PF: Andrei Kirilenko $9.78 million
C: Dwight Howard $19.54 million

Total salary spent: $52.69 million
Cap remaining: $46.61 million

Pretty sure I know who you are targeting with your next pick.

If I have the right guy, I think he would fit in greatly with the type of games Redick and Kirilenko have. Give you very impressive balance overall. Four ball-handlers and well above average passers who are all strong decision makers.

Turned the terrible twosome of Jennings and Monta into this:

PG: B.Jennings
SG: W.Matthews
SF: 3.12
PF: D.Lee
C: N.Pekovic

I call them Team 3s 'n' boards, because I have two great 3pt shooters and two great offensive rebounders.

I also like how my defense is developing. Matthews, Lee, and Pekovic are all known for good defense at their respective positions, and I plan on drafting some good defensive bench players at the 1 and the 3.

How's it look?
I really like what you did here but, honestly, I am not a huge fan of Jennings. I think there are 2-3 PGs still left to draft I would want running my team besides Jennings.(Full disclosure I has a team with Jennings once but he wasn't running the offense, that was LeBron)

But, my own preferences aside, a very solid squad thus far.

Brooklyn Nets

PG: George Hill ($8.00m)
SG: Kobe Bryant ($27.85m)
SF: Kawahi Leonard ($1.81m)
PF: Glaring hole ???
 C: Brook Lopez ($3.67m)

Salary Cap: $83.11m
Remaining Salary: $31.78m

So, what ya'll think?

On one hand I really like your 4, on the other hand I'm nervous about your ability to fill the 4. You desperately need someone who can defend and rebound, but there isn't a ton of 'win now' options for you left.

There's a veteran left that I like, but I'm not sure how much he has left in the tank.

I think I'm pickin up what you're layin down...

And I'm pretty sure Roy thinks he has a LOT left in the tank.

You sir are correct.

I might draft a backup before I draft that SF you are thinking of as I think that SF might be around a little and if not, there's another who is a perfect fit that I know will be there later.

Is said player the best defensive frontcourt player since Bill Russell?

Derrick Rose,  15,000,000.00
Evan Turner,    5,250,000.00
Al Jefferson,  16,400,000.00
Derrick Favours 4,750,000.00
               41,400,000.00

Something like 30 millions in CAP Space
If Rose can get back this year and this team could have actually won enough without him to make the playoffs, then, I think you are a definite title contender. I believe though that that title run would probably have to wait until next year.

I wonder where I can get a jump-shooting big man.

I was kind of hoping you would put a defensive center alongside David Lee.

Interior defense is a concern. Lee and Pekovic are a tad slow footed. I think you need a strong defensive player with good mobility behind them.

I think that would make a difference to your team. Give it more defensive integrity.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Kyrie Irving
?
?
Ryan Anderson
Andrew 'Two-face' Bynum

That three man core is strong enough to be a title contender with the right supporting cast if A.Bynum can stay healthy.

Need strong defensive players in supporting cast.

All over the court (starting wings, backup bigs, backup wings) except maybe PG where I think another player who is comfortable in a PG centric offense would be more important. Someone who can create for both himself and for others.

The offensive firepower of Kyrie, A.Bynum and R.Anderson is huge.

Yup. My thoughts mirror this.

like that is always lethal." - Evan 'The God' Turner

C: Tim Duncan (9.6 / 10.3 / 10 play op)
PF: Kevin Garnett (11.5 / 12.4 / 12 (unguaranteed)
SF: Jared Dudley (4.2 / 4.2 / 4.2 / 4.2 eto)
SG: JR Smith (2.8 / 2.9 play op)

SUNS

PG: Goran Dragic(7.5)
SG: Dwyane Wade(17.1)
SF: Gerald Wallace(9.88)
PF:Carlos Boozer(15)
C: Marcin Gortat(7.25)
Cap used: 56.73 Total: 70.3

Thoughts?
Me thinks you might have a very good squad this year but the next couple years might suck as you have three players I think might be having decent size downturns in their games. Heck, Gerald Wallace is already there.

Probably another post player as the latter-3 are all jump-shooters I think.
