Matthews is nice, but maybe being an effective third option is a bit too much to ask of him.

I would say Matthews is currently the third offensive option behind Lillard and Aldridge in Portland.

Nicolas Batum.  Also, Portland is 25-29 and on the outside looking in at the playoffs.  You're hoping to contend, so different standards apply.

Tony Parker
Danny Green
Joe Johnson / Carlos Delfino
Tristan Thompson / Earl Clark
Pau Gasol / Bismack Biyombo

Opinions?  Obviously the next target is a guard.

I'm very impressed with the Monta-Johnson trade. Even though you added a bunch of salary, you got rid of a pretty polarizing player. And you got more out of it than I did ;)

I like your balance of vets and youth in the starting lineup. Very hard to prepare for. However I question Thompson's defensive abilities.

I think your more specific next target should be a sharpshooting guard; someone who shoots around 40% from three.

A bit difficult to evaluate Thompson's defense, because the Cavs in general are lost on that end of the court.  He does have the physical tools to be very good, with a lot of versatility.

I agree with what you think I should target next.

The new-look Bucks!!!

PG: R.Westbrook
SG: W.Matthews
SF: T.Ariza/M.Webster
PF: D.Lee
C: J.McGee/I.Mahinmi

A couple of things I'm going to try to do:
- Flip McGee and considerations for a sturdy defensive center.
- Draft a serviceable backup ball handler at the 1 or 2

Gotta say, this is the one squad this draft that has improved by qutie a bit from where it originally started,  almost entirely through trades.

Good job AB

Hear, hear.

I agree with your assessments. A steady but unspectacular hand at C would help solidify the frontcourt rotation. A guy who's happy playing D and getting rebounds.

I think Wes is fine as a 3rd option on offense. Good D on the wings. I'm not Webster's biggest fan.

If you have any payroll space, perhaps you could entice a cash-strapped team into taking on a package of Webster and McGee for a C you're happier with.

Nice work.

30 pts, 9 asts, 6 boards for Isaiah Thomas, 20 pts, 12 boards for Ryan Anderson, efficient production out of Stephenson and Smith.

It's jus science. Nothin' but science.

Gloat all you want IP, just realize all you're doing is giving CC more reason to gloat over Jeff Green.

Can't wait to hear about that.

He's gonna have a point. Green played like a champ tonight. Can't throw shade on that.

I miss this game this year...some REALLY nice teams are coming together so far.

The salary addition is a nice twist to the game.

I got these guys

This is hands down my favorite duo to come out of this draft.

The problem is, I just don't see one single difference maker at any of your other positions.

Agreed. Just a dirty duo for bigs, possibly best of all teams. But you are right, after that a HUGE drop off. Still like them though
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

I like how we match up vs. the Thunder. Haven't looked at the LA teams yet.

OKC will walk all over you at every position, except maybe center. Maybe

Time to see how far LA brings a team

Honestly, don't see any team beating the Lake show out West. Maybe a team in the East that could give the Lakers a run, but the Lakers are the West's best.

So as long as I'm here, how do you guys see the respective conferences shaking out?  This is off the top of my head so I may be omitting somebody, but I see the conference final caliber-teams like this (in no particular order):

East:
KNICKS
Nets
Heat

West:
Thunder
Lakers
Clippers

Gun to my head, I say conference finalists are Knicks vs Nets in the East, and Thunder vs Clippers in the West.  Lakers and Heat are right there with them, though.

The hawks think your a hater

I'm just not sold on Love and Granger; Granger for the injury recovery, and Love for the injuries and because he's never been able to show he can contribute effectively to a winning team.  Calderon's defense at PG is also a weak spot.

If both Granger and Love can come back healthy you could have a very good squad next year, but I don't see it right now.

Im glad someone else pointed this out. I kept seeing it in his sig but never commented.

Strong on paper but not so much on the court

Who do think you can get for McGee for better or equal value? (unless you move other pieces). Still a couple PG's for bench roles still available, that'd what I'd look for too with your next pick

Nice team lol im sorry i cant do professional analysis like you

Love Parker, have him in fantasy this year (beast mode). I have Pau too but a fresh start might fit him better here as the 2nd 3rd option.

Why I don't like your team? Joe Johnson. You traded Monta for him (I think) but barely an upgrade. Good luck with iso Joe
