Tony Parker
Danny Green / Monta Ellis

Tristan Thompson
Pau Gasol

Thoughts?

I dunno, but it appears Tristan Thompson is the one guy that doesn't fit. I would trade him for a vet PF, and another guy.

It's kind of hard to run a team with such diverse ages since by the time T2 is mature enough to be a star, the rest will be too old

I don't need him to be a star.  Frankly, I don't ever expect him to be a star.

I do expect him to provide energy, defend multiple positions, and rebound the heck out of the basketball.  All of those are things he's plenty capable of doing right now.  He's not a particularly good scorer at this point, but between Parker, Green, Ellis and Gasol I have that part covered.

Portland lineup:

PG: Damian Lillard
SG: Thabo Sefolosha
SF: Tayshaun Prince
PF: David West
C:  LaMarcus Aldridge

Bench: Jason Terry, Jonas Valanciunas

We were very pleased with our third round selections today. With the exception of Danny Green, we got everyone we'd targeted.

The scoring load will be assumed by Lillard, West, and LMA. Sef and Tay will provide very good wing defense, with adequate floor spacing as well. Tay can also help with running the offense, as he is a skilled passer who will keep the ball moving.

Terry will be our 6th man, backing up both guard positions, and providing shooting and scoring off the bench.

Jonas will back up LMA at C. With West and LMA, we like the mix and match options for frontcourt setups. I think we could also run an effective small-ball lineup at times with Tayshaun at PF (against opposing stretch 4s, for example).

Our next pick isn't until the 6th round, unfortunately. But, with nearly $25 million of payroll remaining, we think we can round the roster out with good role players.

That guard play is going to be a hell of a roller coaster.  A lot of exciting plays and explosive games mixed with a fair share of turnovers and shot selection questions.  But when you mix that with 3 of the more consistent and dependable players in the game I think that more than mediates those issues.

1 dependable big man to add to that rotation and that's a team fit for a deep playoff run.

1 question: What's the offensive gameplan here? Who is the focal point?

With the exception of Korver, the makings of an athletic team with potentially nightmarish defensive pressure for opposing teams.

Backup wings and bigs will be key, both for depth and for lineup versatility. Could use another shooter, maybe two?

Hire a free throw coach.

A few vets would be a nice touch as well.  CP3 has a lot of leadership responsibility on his shoulders with that (very talented) group.

Love the Shump addition. I actually wasn't crazy about hte Korver pick but now that you've added him it's not as big of a deal. Still think you need a more pure center

I love what you've done with the Blazers, and I think the Rose Garden would, too.

What better duo is there for JV to learn behind than Aldrige and West, two guys that do it the right way.

A little bit more athleticism would be a nice compliment off the bench.  Someone that can take the dribble-drive load off of Lilliard would help.

Like T-Rob. Concerned about ball movement 1-3.

TP. Athleticism: which slots? You mean, a human pogo-stick type at PF and a slasher wing?

I love the Teague pick.  He's apparently very underrated here - no way he should have lasted deep into the third round.  Kemba should be considerably better as a gun off the bench than he is as the starting PG.

PF is the obvious weakness of your team.  Robinson and Henson have potential but haven't done much of anything.

It's a 1a, 1b but probably run things through Garnett in the high post. He's more active setting screens on the perimeter while Duncan is probably fighting for position.
