I laugh at the people who said getting Crawford at 2.5 a reach: your 6th man of the year, crazy crossovers
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pE3CJwQONws

i dont have the flashy names but with Crawford driving to the basket, Jrue throwing alley-oops to McGee and Smith and Martin hitting the outside shot i have a pretty solid team and Crawford has had no problems with the Clips if anything all he's been getting is high praise :)

Crawford is good at what he does.  However I don't rate what he does something I would want to take at 2.5

A third round pick or even late second.

I was surprised to see him go high second round.

Crawford is a huge reason why the Clips have been so successful and actually there was a good amount of people who wanted to see him in the all star game

Actual rebound rates, via hollinger, copied below-

Rajon Rondo (8.8)
Tyreke Evans (8.8)
Ersan Ilvasova (13.2)
Kenneth Faried (18.3)
Anderson Varejao (23.1)

Greivis Vasquez (8.0)
Klay Thompson (6.1)
Jeff Green (7.9)
Zach Randolph (19.5)
Omer Asik (21.8)

Looks like a lot of guys who are happy to rebound the ball.

How do I not have a zillion TP's after this world-class zing?

Try and work in a David Caruso reference next time.

Question: What percent of the available minutes has Ersan Ilyasova played at the small forward position in the last 2 seasons, despite a desperate need from the Bucks for a guy to produce there?

0% He has played 0% of the minutes there. Don't think its tenable here, at least for me.

And also:

I could also get my rebound rates up if I put 7-footers at all my positions ;D

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Jeff is even getting 4.8 rebounds per36 right now, with the Celtics!

4.8 rebounds per 36 minutes: Career worst for Jeff Green

He had 6.1 per 36 minutes in his rookie season, as a SF.
I don't consider anything he did as a PF very important since he will never play SF on this team.
And his stats in Boston are pretty flawed with a slower pace, no offensive boards etc.

In his years at OKC he had: 5.4, 5.8, 6.1, 6.5
That's pretty good.

No, that's pretty bad.

Jrue Holiday
Jamal Crawford
Kevin Martin
Josh Smith
Javale McGee

I embrace hate  :-*

I get more worried about this team's chemistry each time I see it.

I would be pretty tempted to put JaVale McGee on the bench and bring in someone less talented but reliable to play in front of him for 20-25 minutes a night. Like he has in Denver.

I would put Jamal Crawford on the bench and start Kevin Martin. Not sure those two can get enough minutes on the same team. Crawford played pretty badly at PG the last time he played there. I would be reluctant to put him back there at this stage of his career. And Kevin Martin is a one position player. It looks like a problem to get them both enough minutes. Might need to move one of them.

The team desperately needs a veteran dependable presence who is a team first player who will move the ball and play tough defense at the three.

This is a fair point. Rest assured, I will soon draft another SF who is also extremely happy to rebound the ball.

No, that's pretty bad.

To name a few, he's better than:

Nicolas Batum
Danny Granger
Paul Pierce (for the past 7 years)
Danilo Gallinari (6'10")
Tayshaun Prince (whole career)
Caron Butler
Jared Dudley (past 4 years)
Grant Hill (past 9 years)
Andre Igoudala

I'd say he's in the upper 50% of all SFs and better than some of his contemporaries, not "pretty bad"

False, you're using raw rebounding totals when rebounding rate is the best apples to apples comparison tool. Jeff Green at SF has a respectable 8ish TRB% at SF. Which is worse than many of the players you mention, even though some of them play a lot of SG/PF so its a strange comparison.

I only checked Pierce/Iggy/Batum all had higher rebound rates than 8.

I question where you get your stats
Jeff Green is at 6.5 REB PER 48 MIN
That would put him at 34th place for small forwards according to ESPN
