Doc says they're looking for a stretch 4. DaJuan Summers is exactly that. He's played wee all season for the Claws (even making All-Star) I believe he also won MVP for this years game. He could shoot the 3, rebound, handle the rock & finish pretty well.  ???

Seems like only Micah Downs and Shelvin Mack are the only RedClaws ever mentioned. Maybe because of their NBA (limited) experience that most are familiar with. But Summers has it too (albeit waived by the Bobcats)

I agree that Summers warrants more consideratio than he has been getting(which seems to be none). I guess he hasn't been mentioned because he has been hampered by a hamstring injury. He just got reactivated.

I like him but maybe his injury has scared Ainge off, and I don't blame him. We need healthy bodies.

He has always reminded me of a worse version of Jeff Green. It is not exactly what we need right now.
Btw i saw him play some games for the Pistons 2 years ago, and he was a terrible rebounder back then. Not sure how his D-League numbers is going to translate to the NBA.
Jack of all trades, master of none.

Do we need another Brandon Bass??

We don't need another wing who looks like he can play inside vs a guy who wants nothing else better to do than battle inside

harangody in the D league this year:

d league performance may not be a great indicator of nba performance.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

It's like in college . . . guys without NBA size or athleticism can put up big numbers because they are beefier / stronger / more skilled than their opponents.

You make Harangody 3-4 inches taller and he's a quality big man.

Yes, the guy who puts up inferior numbers in the D-League may be the better player.  You can probably set some minimum numbers that a NBA-ready player at a given position has to surpass, but it might require actual scouting to tell meaningful differences between players who exceed those minimum requirements.

There is a reason he is not on the claws, he is not good enough to be in the NBA?
